One of our better games this year. Ibra definitely made a huge impact on our play compared to our shitty past few games.

I'd say the midfield remains the major area of concern and at this point. They defintely showed alot of workrate and energy but couldn't control the tempo or retain possession when we needed to, but overall good performance . As far our CL situation is, right now we've made a nice start with 4 points, Barca can outscore us by 10 goals a game but in the end, goal-difference is unlikely to factor in, it's head-to-head that decides it. We just have to take care of business against the smaller sides and we'd have a decent chance of topping group. Winning the group has to be our goal at this point even though I still think most likely we'll end up 2nd.

Ibra enjoys new Juve-Milan
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is impressed with the new Juventus, but also feels he has found his ideal position at Milan.

Although he netted many times in Turin when wearing the Bianconeri jersey, the Swede has never scored here as an opponent and hopes to rectify that on Sunday evening.

“I played in a position that I really like in the Champions League,” he told Milan Channel.

“I can make many movements forward and back, even to help out my teammates. I have more opportunity to do my thing and the more I get the ball, the more dangerous I can be.”

Juve are currently joint top of the Serie A table and this is their first real Scudetto test.

The injury crisis is subsiding somewhat with the probable return for this game of Kevin-Prince Boateng, but the likes of Alexandre Pato, Robinho and Gennaro Gattuso are still sidelined.

it was interesting to see ibra saying what he did, because most of us have been bemused why he's always used a prima punta when his natural characteristics is always to drop deeper to collect the ball. hopefully allegri continues to give ibra the freedom to move around, and there should be enough space in the midfield because pirlo will be there. we all know his weaknesses.

boateng is back, so that should limit pirlo's influence on the game.

Andrea Pirlo has an injury scare ahead of Sunday’s Juventus-Milan match, while Paolo De Ceglie is ruled out.

The official Bianconeri website confirms in the final stages of today’s training session, Pirlo “received a knock to the left knee.

“The midfielder’s conditions will be evaluated over the next few hours, but his name is included in the squad named by Antonio Conte.”

It would be a huge blow for Juve if Pirlo were to miss out, not to mention on a personal level, as he is set to face his former teammates.

De Ceglie has been left out as a precautionary measure following another knock, while Mirko Vucinic has returned from his ban.

Let him play tomorrow, we should harass him and let others step up if they want us to be beaten.

Overall even with injuries we'll field a team that has more quality and the more technical set of players so we better take advantage of that and control the game. They can stretch us on the wing so this would the main thing for us to watch, specially with Abate out, our fullbacks will definitely need alot of support from midfield.

I agree with him, Boban was a brilliant player as well! Aqualiani is okay but he's not a world class player and never will be. He's a poor replacement for Pirlo i.m.o.

If we're going to keep playing 4312 we really need a creative midfielder (dare I say a Mr. X) in the hole i.e. a Kaka or Ganso......

Lol it's funny he says our midfield is "slow and ageing" yet he wants us to keep Pirlo, contradicts himself there.

The club made absolutely no mistake getting rid of Pirlo, they're just stupid enough not to have dished the same treatment for the rest of midfielders specifically Rino, Ambro and Seedorf, at the very least some of them. We should have been ruthless there and gotten quality replacements. I do agree about the part where the club is no longer signing quality players and only caring to balance the books, sad but true
