Maro: No! I've just been watching the game. I watched the tape of it when I came home too, and didn't change my opinion. Perrotta was useless today. That doesn't mean I think he's a bad player, just that he was poor this afternoon. They all have bad ones.

Curva atmosphere was great, until, you know, it wasn't. My new seat is better, but I'll only need it for the biggest games, when it's 100% full. The rest of the time I sit in a spot I like where there's some sound people. I did the same last year, but a couple of games was shite cus my actual seat is about 40% blocked by a big fuck-off wall.

Well I'm sorry, Maro, but that doesn't change my opinion. I've watched it twice now, and by the standards Perrotta has set for himself over the years, he had a poor game. That wasn't Perrotta on the pitch, it was more like Brighi.

How are you judging him? On criteria that you know applied? How are we to judge them?

I'm always interested in Ed's opinions on the games, but with all due respect, I wasn't asking him. I asked why you thought my opinion was invalid.

It is an opinion, after all. Not an edict. We're all entitled to them. And if something really is "beyond you" (a phrase you've used twice in two days with me), then the polite and reasonable thing to do would be to ask to have it explained. If calling something "beyond you" is your way of saying "you're a fuckin idiot", then the decent thing to do would be to say that at the beginning, before explaining to me why my comprehension of the game is so poor.

Admittedly that was very much out of character, but there you go. Chewna will talk you through it; his word is gold. Or almost gold; I shall have to have a word with him about his take on LE's tactics today at some stage.

I understand what you're shite-ing on about, Frodo, but I've no desire now nor do I wish to spend the energy explaining something on your behalf. Plus I've a few beers down me now say no speak well sense now. If you want to be a cheeky Mr KnowItAll Professore and not bother to fully explain your thoughts or answer a legitimate question then thats up to you. You really need to talk to someone about all this anger and extra-grouchiness you've built up as of late, though.

I don't think Perrotta had his usual game, but I'm guessing he was instructed to play in a specific way (as in not getting forward into open spaces). It seems strange to me that he wouldn't, but I'm not LE.

I don't think Perrotta tweets. I'll be sure to let you know if I come across any tweets from him.

+1 - though less strange in LE's '4-3-3' and less strange still, I think, with Rosi down the right. Will let you know similarly.

By 'strange' I meant that it doesn't play to his strength. I know that no player is more important than the manager's system, of course, but I remember that Spalletti felt Perrotta was crucial to that style we were playing then. I miss the bald one.
