Right after Cassano scored I felt like posting about how im glad we're getting owned by Milan, just so it can bring some of players and fans back down to earth. I was also going to say how i think (based on the first 10-15 mins) that Vidal might need a season to adjust to serie a, and how id feel more comfortable if we would sign Mascherano.

At the end of the game,taking both games into consideration, I felt that we actually played some decent football throughout both games, but we still have a ways to go. Vidal made up for his (and Bonucci's) mistake that led to Cassano's goal, and he assisted Matri's goal, but I still think I'd feel safer if we signed Mascherano and had some kind of rotation system going.

I was impressed by Vidal, although you're right, he obviously needs some settling in time..

The defence has a hole to plug
Bonucci is a good defender with an experienced head beside him
Chiellini is a great defender with an experienced head beside him

There is something in common there.
I also felt that Lichtsteiner and Ziegler did well.
In fact all our signings did reasonably well and i was impressed by some of the youngsters that were given a run out.

Matri is a 20+ goal scorer with some decent service....a very good player

A long way to go still, but i'm somewhat satisfied with what Conte has done so far

I'm still far from convinced of the attacking 4-4-2 with Pirlo in midfield, but with an experienced CB and a LW Juve will have the basis of a pretty decent side.

I'll bet any 1 of you suckaz that Matri will not score more than 20 goals this season. He's a decent player but he won't score the big goal that Juve will need. Dont' be surprised if he disappears out of 3-4 games in a row either. This team aint' that good but I'm always excited to watch Juve provided they play with heart. 4th place finish this season?? Absolutely not. That's the problem with Juve's transfers. They already get players established in other leagues, this doesn't work.

Who is talking CL? You kidding me? This team has lost everything that made it great. This team has no inspiration, no confidence and no character. All these players are wanna-bes and never-weres. It will be a long time before we have players in this side that inspire us and give us confidence when they are on the ball. It will be a long time before crosses into our box don't make my heart jump with terror.

We can all thank Secco, Blanc, and Gigli who had a team that was financially sound and sizzled with character. Instead of adding a couple world class pieces back in 08, we added a ton of garbage and infected our squad with the deadly virus of loser. Than we disgraced former players like Nedved, Trezeguet and Camoranesi (even players like Zanetti, Nocerino, Criscito, Balzaretti and Legrottaglie) by acting like they weren't good enough for us anymore.

IMO. This team needs to be completely blown apart and restructured. We now have retarded salaries and wrong players for different positions all over our roster. It is a real mess. There is no system of play here. There is no team concept. Let it go guys. A good future is a long way away. In the meantime try to enjoy teams like Napoli who have built their squad responsibly and have developed passion for their players in a time where stats are all that matter.
