You often say how you have a soft spot for that old 3-5-2, with Candela and Cafu bombing down the flanks and Totti pulling the strings as trequartista. It comes up whenever I say that I hate back 3s and think they're tactical dinosaurs and you remind us of those good old days.

I said most of that in the shitebox on Thursday evening; I was put in mind to post it here by a comment of Lavazza's over on theoffside, in the hope he might read it over here - Goffredo and Davit were commenting on the ruins over there and so I poked my nose in and saw a comment from Lavazza that I thought it would be interesting to engage with.

That sounds like the sort of thing JCS - Juan Carlos Sol, or whatever his name is - would say, if he's still in those parts. He was my lone companion in Pizza-defending for a while. I didn't notice it at the time, anyway - I just skimmed some of the messages and Lavazza's caught my eye.

Haven't been on recently, but I've been liking what I've read about the new Roma. Bojan deal seems a little odd, but in signing guys like Stekelenburg, Lamela, Angel and Osvaldo, we're getting quality players, who are only going to keep improving. It's a good, sensible transfer strategy.

What's the consensus on Pizarro's place in the team? I maintain that he's one of the most under-rated players in European football. Barely ever see him lose the ball.

Pizarro remains a great player alright who will no doubt prove to be very useful to use over the coming season. Some doubts linger perhaps about his ability to fit into LE's system with a three man midfield with two mezz'ala (and DDR), hence why we're on the lookout for new midfielders, but we shall see.

I see the fuss over Totti being left out of our EL game has rumbled on, so much so that wrote in complaining to the Corriere dello Sport over the issue. Apparently Totti showed up at Trigoria yesterday with a shirt that read "BASTA" – what the feck is all that about, anyone care to shed more light?

Looks like Osvaldo will be arriving, although Espanyol haven't officially accepted our offer yet, and if he does come its reported LE still wants Nilmar as well. Kjaer, Fernando, Casemiro all still heavily linked, but nothing solid. Our Serie A season starts in six days.

Sad to hear that this season tickets sales for this year are the , which is surprising. Perhaps not everyone is as enthusiastic about our new owners as it first appeared.

Dopo la cessione di Vucinic davanti la Roma ha perso peso! A Bratislava aveva un attacco giovane ed inedito. Cicinho è stato probabilmente il migliore in campo.
