Well, you guys lure players by offering them exceptionally inflated contracts and then when you want to move them on because they're not worth their wages you find others agree and aren't prepared to match their wages either.

Why only Eto'o and Sneijder seem to attract attention is easy. They are by far our two best players ... and for this reason we cannot sell any of them imo. True, by doing so we will have the money to buy one or two good players, but, are there any Eto'os and Sneijders around? I think not. I think players like Mariga, Pandev and Muntari do not want to move mostly due to their high wage.

Regarding this FP rule ... it seems that English, Spanish and French (PSG namely) are not being affected and they are almost spending the usual money ... what do you guys think on this? I guess they're going to be in some big trouble next year when their oil tycoon owners will not be able to pump millions into the club to lower the debts.

One last observation ... I think Gasperini will give space to some promising players form the primavera this year. Crisetig and Faraoni are being included quite often. Two players to watch out for the future.

Yes I do hope that Gasperini insists on a couple of the Primavera guys. Crisetig is indeed an excellent prospect but I would let him play with the Primavera for at least another season. He's too young and needs some more playing time. Faraoni and also Obi should have a little more playing time with Gasperini but what I'm afraid of is that they get tp play in the wrong positions, thus offering a lower contribution and also diminishing their eventual price tag.

I was also impressed with Longo. He is a kid with good feet, is pacy and has some good tricks in the bag. He is not afraid to take on players and also has the talent to beat them. I don't remember which friendly it was but Longo and Faraoni really impressed on the right side for us.

I haven't seen a friendly yet so I cannot really comment but I have also heard extremely positive comments on Bessa..

Man City take Sneijder for €36m!

The Gazzetta dello Sport is adamant Inter have already sold Wesley Sneijder to Manchester City for €36m, so today’s Super Cup is his last appearance. Up until now the Dutchman had been heavily linked with a bid from Manchester United, but sources in Italy suggest their rivals over at Eastlands have swooped instead.

The front page of today’s Gazzetta declares Sneijder has already agreed a transfer to Roberto Mancini’s squad for €36m – over €20m more than Inter originally paid for the midfielder.

He is set to sign a contract worth €6m per season with the Premiershit outfit. Inter director Ernesto Paolillo did hint that something could happen this week when he said, “Sneijder is not for sale unless we receive an offer we can’t refuse.”

This could well include an option to take Carlos Tevez on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season. His final appearance in an Inter jersey could well be today’s Italian Super Cup against Milan in Beijing, kick-off at 13.00 UK time.

Yep and despite us losing, Sneijder still scored a goal for us! I can't see him leaving, not this far into the transfer window.
I hate to say it but I think this season will be about consolidating who we have for next season when Pep arrives. If he does come, then we will build a team for him.

I expected us to lose today, no big surprises there. I didn't see the game so it would be nice if someone summed up the negatives and positives. How did Alvarez play?

Lomba, didn't we sign a deal with Gazzette that they have positive columns about the team or something like that?

M_I, we won't be spending big anytime soon with FFP in effect. I don't think Guardiola would want to coach this team, at least in the shape we are in currently.

I saw the first 45 mins and the wing back region still seems to be the problem region just like last season under Leonardo. Eto'o was totally isolated as Zanetti made no forward runs on the right. I think we should improve in that region with Nagatomo and Maicon fully fit. Jonathan should help too. I think Banega would be a useful player for us. He is dynamic, is good in attack and defense and would be a useful player to have around. Playing him where Alvarez played yesterday would have been good.

Gasperini still hasn't decided on where to play Sneijder. We have been playing with 3-4-3 in all our friendlies and then ended up playing a 3-5-1-1 in the first half.
