Nah, I think as a former lover who continues to wish he weren't former. Every time Vooch does something good thredzo will be there telling us it could have been for Roma and we should have supported him more and he was always destined for greatness etc. etc. etc.

It will be a big disappointment. Up until this point I've been ignoring the possibility of him leaving and trying to believe that he will eventually turn himself around and see that he is wanted here, that he can be a key part of this new Roma and leave his troubles behind him and get back to his best. But he wants to leave, he continue to express his desire to leave for personal reasons, so there's not much that can be done, other than try get a good price for him. So its a big disappointment, as he's one of my favourite players. And on the top of it all, I've already seen one of my favourite players leave for nothing at the end of last season, so its tough (it needs to be said that both Totti and De Rossi are, naturally, 'favorites', but being romanisti and bandiera's of the club it goes without saying they are held in such esteem, so we have favourites outside of them). Of course I hope he doesn't leave and he can turn it around, but if he does, he does, and it will just have to be accepted and go on from there.

My opinion on JS joining Lecce, Tom (as i didn't have time to express it earlier as I very busy at the moment, you'll be glad to know), is one of a little tinge of disappointment to see a solid back-up keeper leave, but not too much disappointment. I've never really rated JS as a really good keeper – he's had his moments (some magical moments), sure, and has done well for us when he's been given the chance, but he's never been top-class. It is perhaps a tad worrying to see both JS and Doni leave without anyone coming in, bar Curci of course, but he's likely to be fighting it out with Lobont for the role on the bench, assuming we do manage to secure the deal for Steken'cheeseburger or whatsiteverhisnameis.

Even more worrying, I should say, is that we've still no solid concrete association with bringing in a new defender, and I'm slightly amazed that there's not more concern about it. Plus, if Vucinic leaves, I still think we'll need a replacement for him, so thats more time and energy and money spent on the mercato front looking for said replacement instead of on chasing this new defender. Who was at centre-half against PSG? How long are Burdisso and Juan injured for? Don't we have a Europa League tie fast approaching?

Presuming Vucinic goes, a summer in which we have lost Mexes, Menez and Vucinic really doesn't sound too good - will we have actually become stronger overall outfield?

Three top players lost. At least one was always going to go, but it's one or two too many in my opinion. Guess we'll just have to wait and see but replacements such as Nilmar (potentially) and players we have signed like Bojan and Lamela will have to go through the stage of settling in Rome, getting used to Serie A etc etc.

Vucinic goes to Juventus and we land G.Rossi. This is the ideal situation, and since it's ideal, it probably will never happen.

Burdisso is still on post-Copa leave, though there is worry about his inguine. Juan has been struggling with injury in pre-season; Heinze was too fresh off the boat for the friendlies. I imagine we'll still bring someone in there, but we're not impossibly thin as it stands (if Heinze's worse than Mexes, he's also much better than G. Burdisso in terms of the overall balance of the options at CB). If no-one else is brought in I suspect we'll see Cassetti being used there more and more - as Panucci came to be; as Favagol and Maldini were.

I'm pleased to see JS go, but for another reason - because I hope he does well there and enjoys being the clear first-choice option. I think he deserves that, while also not thinking he's quite good enough for a so-called bigger club.

And Vooch will only go because we have an alternative already lined up - for once we're actually in a position of strength, I think. I doubt that replacement will be Rossi and I have no idea whether Nilmar's a good and adequate replacement for the Vooch. Regardless, the replacement will be lined up before Vooch is sold.

Roma director Walter Sabatini confirms “a meeting is set for the next few days” with Juventus over Mirko Vucinic amid rumours of a €18m deal.

When asked by Retesport about updates on the negotiations with the Turin giants, Sabatini confessed to talks.

“A meeting is set for the next few days,” he said.

Vucinic has also been heavily linked with Premiershit champions Manchester United and is valued at €20m.

The Montenegro international became Juve’s primary transfer target after Villarreal took Giuseppe Rossi off the market.

Sky Sport Italia claim a deal is basically done for €18m and a four-year contract worth €3.5m per season.

Sabatini was also quizzed on reports the Giallorossi are close to Brazilian star Nilmar as a replacement.

“I will not make any comment on what the newspapers say. I never said anything about this player and I have nothing to discuss now.”

Aquilani calls Fiorentina and Roma
Alberto Aquilani’s agent insists he will only accept a permanent transfer to Fiorentina and blasted Roma. “They would’ve been considered.”
The midfielder spent last season on loan at Juventus and is not part of Liverfekkin'wankscum’s plans.

“Alberto has given the all-clear to join Fiorentina, but he doesn’t want to find himself in the same position of having to reconsider his position next season,” agent Franco Zavaglia told Rete Sport.

Other options for a return to Serie A included Milan and Napoli, but not hometown club Roma.
