I am not really sure what is going on . Apparently keeper will be Neto , the 19 year old Brazilian signed in January. I see a team next season made up of players from South America and what used to be Yugoslavia with the sole Italian being Gamberini.

Rumours abound of 2 takeovers, one from qatar and one from Red Bull which would be a disaster remembering what happened to last team they took over.

According to the Channel 4 football italia website Genoa say they have no interest in Frey. Fingers crossed, maybe he'll stay after all.

Serie A outfit Fiorentina have snapped up Brazilian full-back Romulo from Cruzeiro. The 24-year-old, who holds an EU passport, will pen a four-year contract upon passing a medical. Touted as 'the new Cafu' in his homeland, Romulo spent last season on loan at Atletico Paranaense.

It is understood that Fiorentina have parted with around €2.5million (£2.3m) in order to secure his services. Romulo has been quick to express his delight at seeing a deal pushed through and admits he is looking forward to testing himself in the Italian top flight next term.

"I always wanted to play in Europe and to belong to a club with great tradition like Fiorentina," he said in Corriere dello Sport.

"It is a great honour and I almost can't believe it. I am going to play for the same team as (Carlos) Dunga and (Gabriel) Batistuta. I have been hoping this would come about ever since I heard of Fiorentina's interest a few months ago. I cannot wait to arrive and I cannot wait to begin in Serie A.

"I knew that sooner or later a move would come and the fact that it is to the Viola makes me very proud. I am sorry to be leaving Atletico Paranaense in a difficult position, but I am convinced my team-mates can cope without me."

That's strange with Frey. He hadn't lost any form before he got injured, had he? Can't get my head round it, but he'll be a good signing for somebody else.

It's not just strange it's ridiculous. Frey's one of the top three keepers in Serie A and has been our saviour on countless occasions. It looks like they are forcing him out the door. Is this Miha's doing or the commercial director's? If the former he should go now while we still have some sort of team left.
Pleased to see Gambo named as captain. I never fancied Monto in the role and now that Donadel's gone and Frey going Gambo is the obvious choice.

That's great news. I've been a fan of Floccari's since his Rimini days and if Jo-Jo can give him the right service he'll score plenty of goals. Munari I'm not so sure about. He's a hard worker and a cut above the likes of Marchionni and Santana but not star material in my book. Hope I'm proved wrong.
