Juve hold Giuseppe Rossi meeting



Juventus have reportedly held a meeting with Giuseppe Rossi after talks for Sergio Aguero hit an impasse.
The Bianconeri had made it clear the Atletico Madrid striker was their top transfer target for the summer, but it seems as if Real Madrid have the upper hand for the €45m hitman.

Sky Sport Italia claim a meeting was held today with Rossi’s agent, Federico Pastorello, and Juve director general Beppe Marotta at the ATA Hotel.

Juventus are moving towards Rossi as the alternative to Aguero, as he is on the market for a considerably more affordable €30m.

‘Pepito’ had been on the verge of a move to Barcelona before that collapsed, as they opted for Udinese’s Alexis Sanchez instead.

Well it's not just the transfer fee you'd have to consider, Juve are offering Aguero 7.5 mil euros in wages. But I'd still rather have Aguero, although I wouldn't complain if we ended up with Rossi in the end.

Or it could be a way of letting Atletico know that were exploring other options, and that we wont be forced into a bidding war with anyone, or both.

I am a huge fan on Kun Aguero and i do hope we get him but taking into account the transfer fee and the wages involved, do we want to take a risk on forking out all that cash and him turning out to be a flop? Look at what happened with Diego. I hope it turns out to be a success compared to our previous big deals involving Nedved and Thuram instead of ones such as Diego.

We are also linked to Vidal, and Diarra
Havent seen much from Vidal...any thoughts on him?

Diarra would be an improvement on sissoko or Melo
The big thing for Juve is to sell.
There are probably at least 10 players that could/should be sold

Don't think Diarra is really an option, unfortunately.

He's on big wage and would rather head to the EPL.


As for Vidal, think Marchisio with more muscle and aggression, but slightly poorer decision making.

He'd be a good option to play with Pirlo and a DM in three man midfield where he would have the freedom to break forward.

However, I'd suggest Juve would be better of sticking with Marchisio and getting a proper DM in instead of Melo.

I always thought he sometimes gets hussled off the ball too easily

I like Palombo, but I don't know how well he and Pirlo could play together.

Diarra would be the ideal signing.

'Juve won't take part in bidding wars'



Andrea Agnelli confirms interest in Sergio Aguero, Giuseppe Rossi, Alexis Sanchez and Gonzalo Higuain, “but Juventus won’t take part in bidding wars.”
The Bianconeri have made it clear they want to sign a world class striker, but have seen offers rejected by Atletico Madrid and Udinese.

“We know what we want and what we are looking for on the market,” said President Agnelli.

“We want players of great quality, but Juventus won’t take part in bidding wars. We will buy players at the right price.”

The main contenders are Aguero of Atletico Madrid and Villarreal’s Italy international Rossi.

“There are many players that we like, such as Sanchez and Higuain, but they have to be on our terms.”
