There were other times Spalletti let loose in his celebrations and those were memorable for his delight. I don't have the memory that some of you for recalling in which games things happened, but I recall a little dance on the sidelines when Mexes scored a late goal in a game. I just watched an Ermes Spalletti video, and man, those were the days as far as pretty play.

Vooch isn't exactly your classic defoe-type or crouch or even pav-type CF. in fact, he's not a cf at all. he's more of a second striker/left winger than anything else, i've come to realize.

from what ive seen spurs play a 4-5-1 (4-4-1-1ish) and vooch isn't a player that would strike me as fitting for that system. unless they change their system signing vooch doesn't make much sense to me. he wouldn't play on the wing in the 4-4-1-1 either - that would mean bale at either left back, the bench or sold. don't think any of those are going to happen for next year.

On Vucinic, we discussed yesterday that a move to Spurs doesn't make much sense as they need a pure in-the-box goal-scorer, but that doesn't mean shit as as english clubs are stupid and will spend money regardless. Although hopefully not enough to persuede us to part ways with him.

ROME (AP) -Each club in Serie A will be allowed to sign a second non-EU player for next season according to new rules adopted by the Italian football federation on Tuesday.

The move is in part a response to the poor performance by Italian clubs in Europe last season. No Italian club made it past the quarterfinals of the Champions League and the Round of 32 in the Europa League.

Last July in the wake of Italy's first-round exit from the World Cup, the federation reduced the number of non-EU players from two to one as a measure to promote Italian players.

But the effect has seemingly been more negative than positive, and with Germany having passed Italy for third place on UEFA's ranking list, Serie A will have only three - down from four - clubs in the 2012-2013 Champions League.

I'm not sure Bojan is really Barca's trash and even if he is, then theirs is probably the best trash to have and he must be the best in the bin. He's not yet 21 and has a fair track record behind him already. Spending reasonable chunks of money on two youngsters is better than spending less on journeymen.

One other thing I liked in one or other of the youtube compilations that have been going around is that it reminded me that Bojan is clever and incisive with his movement - his runs in behind are short and sharp behind deep-lying, packed defences. Clever incisive movement is the kind of thing that suits Totti more than anything else. It was nice to be reminded of that, then. Darren Bent can make runs in behind from halfway; Bojan seems to me an intelligent player - and lord knows we could do with a few more of those.
