Pastore - Zamparini clearly wants to let him go, and by the end of this transfer market he will realize that he won't get an offer of more than €40m from a team that Pastore himself wants to go to and may have basically no choice but to sell him to us.

Rossi - it appears that nobody is interested in him anymore; Rube are into Aguero and Barcelona have almost signed Sanchez. He's also an Italian/American, just like TBD, and TBD reportedly wants an American signing - this could be perfect for us, both on a footballing and on a marketing/financial level. The price should be about €30-35m.

No need to buy 15 players and such, the trick can be done with those two supersignings and a few solid and cheap other ones with some youth mixed in as well. For example, this squad below. 4 new outfield starter signings and one keeper. We will have all of depth, the experience of the old guard and the young blood needed to start such an ambitious project.

Stekelenburg (€8m), Montoya (€4m). Aquaman (€6m), Pastore (€40m), Rossi (€32m), Bovo (€4m), Galeano (€5m), Jose Angel (€4m), Marco Verratti (€2m), and Bojan (loan) will cost about €100m.

This is exactly made up by letting Doni (€3m), JSB, (€4m), Cicinho (€1m), Pizarro (€7m), Taddei (€1m), Cassetti (€0.5m), Guberti (€4m), Menez and Borriello (€25m to PSG) leave coupled with TBD's €55m injection.

Crescenzi could go on loan to a mid-table Serie A side like Parma to get some valuable experience and perhaps 15-20 games and come back and replace Nego, who we by next year will have realized sucks cock.

Off the bench, we will have the needed centre-back backups in Bovo and Galeano, a good complement of a proven, experienced center-back (Roman, too!) and a new and upcoming Samuel.

In the mid 3, seven solid players should prove to be enough even for all of Coppa Italia, Europa league and Serie A. Verratti seems to be a good buy as well - cheap and very promising. Could definitely get some good minutes for us in EL/Coppa.

In the front, we really need no more than 2 good subs for Totti & Rossi, and rotation would be pretty frequent among those 4 gven Totti's age. Plus, Vucinic is perfectly suited for an SS role beside Totti (just like Rossi) - he's not really a winger, and if LE/Sabatini/Baldini do keep him, it means he has had a positive change of attitude and is worth keeping.

Rossi would be a much better fit than Pastore. Also, the more I think about it the more I hope that we don't waste any money on Pastore.

OK I've tried to resist but I'd like to see this. I think it's doable and has six Italian players in it. Also G. Rossi would be the BIG money signing. I do believe DiBenedetto and co want to make one big signing to show their intent. Most likely Pastore but I would prefer Rossi. Especially if we get Alvarez.
