Prejudices? All I was doing is replying to a story you posted. A foreign manager who'd like to bring two or three of his foreign players with him. Yes, its speculation, but, what, we're not allowed to discuss it even though you posted it?

EDIT: Jeff, fair enough, Di Benedetto has said a lot of positive things, and lets all hope that he sticks to them. There is no guarantee of that, however, and I'm just worried about the how things could turn out, but thats just me.

Anyway, the only reason you're worried how it will turn out is because you're terrified that the owners will do a great job of reviving the club, building a new Roma-only stadium, investing in youth-development, signing some good Italian players and fostering the Roman ones we already have. You'd be gutted if that happened. I think everyone can see that. You're betting against your own team.

For example, threadddddmund, having money in the Premiershite looks as though it means being able to spend 20 mil on an Ashley Young, a Jordan Henderson, and a Phil Jones. That seems like an incredible amount of cash in each case; regardless, at least it's being spent on 'local' talent. Perhaps our foreign owners have something equivalent in mind. We shall see.

I agree with with those who have pointed out that Roma have had foreign managers and foreign players before and we were still Roma. The difference is that we now have a foreign owner but he hired two Italian football geniuses to run the club. For me, the first true test of how committed the new societa is to Roman youth is how they manage Crescenzi, Bertolacci and D'Alessandro, 3 young Roman talents that have shown evidence that they can play at this level. For me, at least two of them have to stay and be part of the core group THIS year. They don't (shouldn't) need to be starting XI, but they should be given every opportunity to slowly integrate. If I see this, I will be supremely confident. Another really nice, albeit unlikely gesture/present from our new management would be to buy back Aquilani. We were all sad to see him go and he was sad to go. Bringing him back would be very symbolic for me.

Gianni, of course you'll watch amico. You watched Rosella's Roma despite suffering. You'll watch this Roma too. Only difference is, at least there will be a chance that you will be smiling more while doing so.

Thanks loazzi. I would add Caprari to that list of players as well. United are after him and we need to hold on to him. No more poaching allowed.

Aquilani is unlikely but I would love to see him back. Apparently Liverfekkin'wankscum haven't paid fully for him yet so getting him back wouldn't break the bank. Hell if the rumours are true exchange him for Doni.
