Yeah, he's turning you into a team of runners - a team whose play is all about simple movements. In that pattern, though, you do need forwards who can create from nothing, which is why Ibra has been central both to your success and to your inguardabilita', if that's a word.

Us getting more wide players would depend the role envisioned for Taiwo..he does seem like the sort of tactically-lacking yet explosive fullback with the stamina to cover the entire left flank for us the whole game while us keeping things tight in a narrow midfield composed mainly of central or cenrtal oriented type of players..Abate has made the RB slot his own so, in a way, it's similar to what Carlo did when we had Cafu and Serginho on the flanks...we do have a more dynamic set of forwards than we did in those years but the midfield is nowhere near the quality, in fact we hardly have any right now that Pirlo left.

It doesn't look like Allegri wants a classic requartista, he seems to be happy with Boateng and Robinho knowing they'd track back and help out...its seems he has his mind set on another box-to-box, dynamic midfielder who's well rounded...for me, this is unfortunate as I'd like some badly needed quality and creativity injected in midfield as we'd have no chance getting anywhere in CL without that sort of quality in midfield..in fact, my preference would be to pull Boateng back in midfield (left) while we get a true AM to play in the hole

It's OK he stays, he can contribute in Allegri's system and he's really motivated by one last run at the CL. I was not opposed to Seedorf and Ambro staying but rather both Pirlo and Rino . One is gone. Now we need to get rid of Rino. If we don't, there's simply not enough turnover in midfield to consider this a rejuvenation of any sort and we're setting ourselves for a situation where we have to potentially replace all of Ambro, Seedorf, Van Bommel and Rino in one go next summer. Even if these names are past their peak, it's not easy to replace them with people who can fill their shoes at a club like Milan right away. Knowing Milan, we'll typically hold on to Rino for "emotional and just repeat our mistakes of the past few years

Clarence Seedorf says money was never a factor in his decision to extend his Milan contract.

The Dutchman had spent the last week pondering his options before renewing his Rossoneri deal until 2012 today.

“I have never moved for financial reward in my career,” the 35-year-old midfielder told MilanNews. “Money was never an issue.

“There were never any problems of an economical nature. I just needed to reach an agreement with the club, an outfit who I have a great relationship with.

“I wanted to still feel important. Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani gave me the answers I was looking for and that is why I remained.”

Seedorf has enjoyed much success with the Rossoneri since his 2002 switch from Inter and he is targeting more glory.

“After the Scudetto, I want us to confirm ourselves in Europe. I want my fifth Champions League. I’m hungry to reach more targets. There is no better place to win than at Milan.”

The Italian champions will be without Andrea Pirlo next season though after he joined Juventus yesterday.

“I’m sad that Pirlo has left,” he added. “I’ve lost one of my best friends and the side a great player. He’s made history here and I wish him well.”
