Genoa President Enrico Preziosi is “90 per cent” sure Kevin-Prince Boateng will stay at Milan and admits Diego Milito won’t be returning either.

The Grifone signed Boateng from Portsmouth in the summer to then immediately loan him to the Rossoneri, but details of a permanent transfer are still up in the air.

“We’ll meet with Adriano Galliani on Tuesday. If we don’t resolve it then, it means we have serious problems,” explained Preziosi.

“If I have to give a percentage, then I’d say I’m 90 per cent sure the matter will be closed on Tuesday. I’ll be glad for this soap opera to end, as I frankly don’t think it’s a major problem.”

There are several loan and co-ownership deals in these negotiations, including goalkeeper Marco Amelia and striker Alberto Paloschi.

“The situation is a little complicated, as it involves eight players and not just Boateng. I hope we don’t get into an argument, but the friendship between the clubs should ensure a conciliatory position all round.

“Genoa will make their requests for Amelia, who is not a part of our plans. There is an agreement with Milan, we have already looked elsewhere, so we hope the promises are kept.”

Preziosi also commented on reported talks with Inter forward Milito, who has been linked with a return to Genoa after a disappointing campaign.

“He will be a protagonist at Inter again, because he wants to make up for this season.”

AC Milan will make a major signing in the summer, according to agent Mino Raiola.

Raiola, who represents striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, currently on loan at Milan from Barcelona, and Manchester City forward Mario Balotelli among others, has revealed that he has been scourging the market for a big name for five months.

"I have been working since January on Milan's big coup,” he told Sky Italia. "I hope to be able to do it before August 30.”

However, Raiola refused to divulge any name and said: “Who is it? Maybe I will tell you on August 29."

Having recently won the Serie A title for the first time since 2004, Milan are set to make summer changes in order to strengthen themselves for next season’s campaign both in Italy and in the Champions League.

The Italian giants have already begun their squad renewal, having extended the contracts of Massimo Ambrosini, Thiago Silva, Mark van Bommel, Flavio Roma, Alessandro Nesta and Filippo Inzaghi. Milan have also recruited defender Taye Taiwo on a three-year contract.

Galliani talks stars, transfers and Mr X
Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani has discussed transfers and spoken of his desire to beat Inter to a second Scudetto star, in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Rossoneri official was questioned on numerous topics following the club’s Scudetto success this term.

“We have to get the second star before Inter,” he remarked. “This Scudetto was important because it put a stop to Inter after their five in a row.”

A gold star placed on the jersey of Italian clubs represents 10 Serie A titles. Juve have two stars already, but Inter and Milan have just one thanks to their 18 Scudetti.

The Rossoneri comfortably took the championship after hiring Massimiliano Allegri as their Coach following the departure of Leonardo.

“The Coach has been very good,” Galliani added. “However, the credit goes to owner Silvio Berlusconi.

“He allowed us to spend when we signed Robinho without the certainty that we would then sell Marco Borriello [to Roma].

“I did well to get Kevin Prince Boateng [from Genoa] and one night I thought about Mark Van Bommel. Bayern Munich did us a favour by releasing him for nothing in January.”

When asked about future buys, Galliani ruled out swoops for Real Madrid’s Kaka and Rafael Van Der Vaart of Spurs.

“Kaka won’t return because Milan can’t sign him and Real can’t loan him to us as he’d pay more tax when he returned to Spain. I love him madly, but it is impossible to get him.

“Van Der Vaart? Allegri wants a more combative player – we don’t know why, but we always agree.

“For example, we agree on Ganso. We need a dynamic player as the classical No 10 doesn’t work hard enough.

“We won’t sign anyone in Italy. Our Mister X, a left-sided midfielder like Udinese’s Kwadwo Asamoah, will be signed from abroad. We can’t get Asamoah as there is no dialogues between the two clubs.”

“We’ll buy just one player, two if Clarence Seedorf leaves.”

Milan have also been linked with the Cagliari trio of goalkeeper Federico Marchetti, Andrea Lazzari and Davide Astori.

“Marchetti depends on the future of Marco Amelia. We won’t sign Lazzari, but Astori could come back.”

Amelia is currently on loan from Genoa.

It would surprise me a bit if this is true but, if it is, Milan should tell him to GTFO. No player can ask the club for that.

i don't think seedorf's asked for playing 'guarantees'. it's chinese whispers really. he probably just wants assurances from the manager that he's a type of player that milan still needs. the only reason pirlo is leaving is because he's not what we need, it's not about money. seedorf is way too intelligent to demand playing time, and i'm glad berlusconi has openly called for him to be a future coach of milan.

here is a video of pirlo saying his goodbye's to the team. i'm not gonna lie, it brought tears to my eyes. seedorf pirlo gattuso will go down as one of the most legendary midfield lines of all time.
