So now our season is effectively done, 2 more pointless games and I'm actually looking forward to this summer...I think this offseason is probably going to be the most critical one for Milan in the about 8-9 years or so...we have alot of significant names out of contract and there's a positive vibe from the management as far getting enforcements that will help to compete for the CL next year...how we proceed with the expiring deals will largely determine what kind of summer we'd have...the most interesting part to pay attention to is our midfield, this is the key area which has lacked significant rejuvenation in the past IMO and is in need of more work than any other area

While I do rate Ganso highly as a player for the future, I don't think Milan is wrong to balk at shelling out 30 million+ for a player with injury and fitness problems...I still want him at Milan, but it might be in January if it means significantly saving on the price...better in the summer for sure but I don't think Galliani is just gonna bend backwards for Santos...he knows how to negotiate these deals so we'll see how it plays out

Gennaro Gattuso has defended himself for singing along with Milan fans in a chant abusing Inter boss Leonardo.

The incident took place on Saturday at the Stadio Olimpico after the Rossoneri’s 0-0 draw at Roma ensured the title.

“I always take responsibility for myself,” the 2006 World Cup winner told La Repubblica.

“All this fuss for a prank seems exaggerated. If I could go back in time, given all the mess it has caused, I wouldn’t do it again.”

Leonardo himself went as far as issuing a statement on the Inter website yesterday, while Nerazzurri chief Massimo Moratti also criticised the player.

“I exaggerated and I realise it was not a good example to set for the kids,” Gattuso continued. “But it's not right to forget the context.

“The fans in the Curva sang many other songs, at least nine, and you don’t hear educational chants at the stadium. But let me be clear, I would jump on the railings to sing with them again.

“Those fans have followed us around Italy, facing so many expenses and journeys. The least we could do was thank them.

“There are all sorts of people among the Ultras. To demonize them would be hypocrisy.”

This latest controversy comes in a campaign where Gattuso was criticised for clashing with Tottenham assistant Joe Jordan in the Champions League.

Giuseppe Rossi's agent confirms he has had contact from Milan about the transfer of his client.

Italian clubs snub Rossi
Giuseppe Rossi’s representative says that there are no Italian clubs who have made an offer for the Villarreal player.

Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, Federico Pastorello admitted previous contact with Milan but added that it has gone all quiet for the time being.

“At the moment no Italian club has come forward,” the representative noted. “Last year I spoke with [Milan Vice-President Adriano] Galliani, but nothing ever came of it.”

Rossi, formerly of Parma and Manchester United, has enjoyed a fine campaign in Spain which has increased his market price.

“Whoever wants him will have to hand over at least €30m,” Pastorello continued.

“He’s just renewed his contract with Villarreal, he’s happy there and he’ll only ask to leave if he gets a great offer from a top club.”

Barcelona are also said to be interested in the Azzurri international.

In January, when Tottenham failed in a bid to sign him, Rossi committed his future to his Spanish club until June 2016.
