Its nice to see those dirty lazie goat-fuckers moan and complain about how they woz wobbed in last nights Merda-Off with the Zebra-fuckers. I don't think it was anywhere near to been a clear cut penalty on Floccari that they're all moanin about, but still to see them complain about it is quite funny. They're such a horrible bunch, right down to the very last man. I'd say even their mothers are ashamed of them. They didn't deserve to win that game, anyway.

They don't call me the supercoach for nothing. In fact, they just don't call me the supercoach, but that's not important right now.

My guess about the Milan match is that we will lose in typical Roma fashion. It will be a fitting end for the Rosella Sensi era having Milan celebrate on the Olimpico pitch. We can only hope this will be the very last time she will show her face at the Olimpico.

Davit, I think your formation is much the more probable; it's just that I'd really like to see Menez given a run through the middle, as you know. Given that Montus has been steering us ever more towards the 4-3-3, without DDR and Simone it's almost inconceivable he won't go further away from the 4-2-3-1 to give a bit more defensive help in the middle and because no-one does the profondita' from trequartista quite the way Simone does. Given the personnel available it'd be a bit perverse not to go to something like what you've suggested (though I gather Borriello did well in the second half on Sunday and so might be a chance as an unlikely 'winger' instead of Vooch). I think Menez will only ever come good as a central trequartista and if he's given some more defensive responsibility - play him as a proper midfielder and then there won't be quite the same pressure on him to produce the spectacular every game. I also think he has the defensive work-rate to do that job, though none of his coaches at Roma have thought so. I don't see why he needs to be positioned further forward than Nasri, for example.

That's a good narrative, Avocado, and one I hadn't thought of - I was expecting something more along the lines edzo laid out: a win against Milan to be celebrated like a Scudetto victory and followed by points dropped at Catania.

I have absolutely no doubt that we will lose. We woudl have been lucky to get out of Bari with a draw, let alone a win. A relegated Bari should have put 4 in the back of the net if they had anyone who could finish. In addition, if you did not know what a mediocre keeper Doni was before the Bari match, you should know now.

I can see why Perotta was sent off, but I would like to know why he was given a three match ban just a few weeks after Ibrahimovic successfully appealed a three match ban he was given for punching someone in the ribs.

Ibrahimovic got a two match ban in the end.

I don't see what complaint there can be about De Rossi's red card and ban.

Ibra got a three-game ban reduced to two upon appeal? Is that right, Red? I'd imagine the same thing will happen with Perrotta, no? We've appealed it, and if its not reduced then its a bit suspect alright. I think any form of punch or raising of the hand is an automatic three-game ban.

I can't see any complaint about De Rossi's suspension either. Giovanni, do you really think the player (who was it, Simone Bentivoglio) milked it for De Rossi's elbow? I'm afraid I can't agree with that, and I have to say I think he took a fairly solid smack to the head.

Right yeah, so Ibra's ban shouldn't have been reduced? I didn't follow that to close. I remember the punch alright, so i agree that it shouldn't have been reduced. Perrotta's was different because there wasn't as much contact or no need for the player to go down the way he did, in my view. But his ban should be reduced nevertheless, based on the Ibra issue.

Pizza as he didn't train today with the rest of the team. If he can't make it Greco will probably start alongside Brighi, with Simplicio ahead of them at trequartista in the absence of Perrotta. Like Thomo said yesterday I'd much rather see Menez in there in place of Simplcio, particularly as its reported Taddei will start on the right ahead of Rosi.

(Repubblica.it - M.Pinci) Da una parte, la Roma che prepara il ricorso contro le squalifiche di Perrotta e De Rossi. Dall'altra, la Roma che si prepara, sul campo , a chiudere la stagione senza i due centrocampisti. In attesa di leggere, studiare, verificare le possibilità offerte dalla documentazione prodotta dal giudice sportivo e dall'arbitro Russo per i comportamenti dei due giocatori, Montella studia alternative. Costretto a sostituire sia uno dei due mediani che l'incursore centrale, l'allenatore ha già scelto il primo cambio: Brighi, alterego di Perrotta nelle idee del tecnico, dovrà invece svolgere, da sabato e probabilmente fino a fine campionato, compiti e mansioni solitamente affidate a De Rossi. Liberando una maglia alle spalle della punta. Da oggi, si è iniziato a lavorare.

Tre moduli, quattro squadre differenti. Negli spogliatoi di Trigoria è già in corso un ballo della sedia con quattro candidati e un solo posto libero: Taddei, Menez, Simplicio e Borriello a contendersi il posto, nelle tre settimane che restano prima del gong della stagione.

4-2-3-1 CON TADDEI E MENEZ - Che il modulo scelto da Montella per la sua Roma sia il 4-2-3-1 non è un mistero. Anzi. Il tecnico sa che la squadra è stata costruita negli anni per questo schema e che questo è il modulo che più facilmente riesce a digerire. Per questo, nonostante l'emergenza, è probabile che si continui con lo schieramento classico, senza stravolgimenti. Il posto di Perrotta dietro Totti, inquesto caso, lo prenderebbe Menez, con Vucinic largo a sinistra e Taddei dalla parte opposta. Una soluzione quasi conservatrice, che richiederebbe il minore rischio di assestamento possibile. Una soluzione, però, che non garantisce copertura al centrocampo in emergenza, esponendo Brighi e Pizarro a una gara in inferiorità numerica costante con i dirimpettai avversari.

4-2-3-1 CON SIMPLICIO - Per questo, sulla scrivania di Montella è già stata appuntata un'altra soluzione, dove la spinta offensiva potrebbe risentirne in favore, però, di una tenuta maggiore del centrocampo. Un'ipotesi che prevede Simplicio nel ruolo di Perrotta e uno tra Menez e Taddei a recitare da esterno destro nello schieramento prediletto. Intoccabili, in questo caso, sia Totti che Vucinic. Soluzione possibile, anche se il trequartista brasiliano ex Palermo, che però con Montella è sceso in campo appena due volte prima di finire ai margini: dopo il derby del 13 marzo, neanche un minuto in campo in campionato. Basta per dire che, almeno sulla carta, non si tratta della soluzione preferita dal tecnico.

"ROMBO" - Per coprire il centrocampo, allora, è allo studio anche una rivoluzione completa del modulo. Uno schieramento con tre mediani, Pizarro, Brighi e Taddei, più un trequartista da scegliere tra Menez e Simplicio dietro Vucinic e Totti. Di fatto, la soluzione più prudente, un passo indietro alla gestione Ranieri, non troppo gradita dalla squadra.

4-4-2 CON TOTTI E BORRIELLO - Forse la più affascinante delle ipotesi, anche se la ragione e i numeri sembrano sconsigliarla. La certezza, è che Montella ci sta pensando: modulo differente dal solito, 4-4-2, con due esterni e Totti-Borriello in attacco. Una Roma nuova, che rivoluzionerebbe le idee espresse e ribadite sin qui dall'allenatore, ma capace di far convivere i due migliori marcatori della stagione giallorossa. Magari a partire già da sabato contro il Milan.

Proprio nella gara di andata Ranieri vinse (pur giocando male) con il doppio centravanti e due esterni, in quel caso Simplicio e Menez. Sostituendo all'improponibile Adriano visto a San Siro un Totti da record, e con Taddei largo, Montella è convinto di riuscire a garantire equilibrio, tenuta e capacità offensive. In questo caso il sacrificato sarebbe uno tra Vucinic e Menez. Unico dubbio, la coesistenza tra i due attaccanti: solo 4 le reti del capitano con il numero 22 in campo. Forse un azzardo, ma una scelta possibile per una Roma alla ricerca di punti per il sorpasso Champions alla Lazio.

BURDISSO "VEDE" LA CHAMPIONS - Un traguardo, la qualificazione europea, a cui crede fermamente Nicolas Burdisso: "Possiamo finire bene, e teniamo ad andare anche in finale di Coppa Italia. Abbiamo preso tanti gol? Abbiamo una squadra molto offensiva che attacca anche con i terzini. Facciamo tanti gol ma difendiamo in pochi". Anche per questo fa paura il'attacco del Milan, dove rientrerà anche Ibrahimovic: "Ci sarà molto lavoro - ammette il centrale - dobbiamo stare attenti, nella partite importanti siamo stati sempre all'altezza della situazione abbiamo avuto problemi con altre squadre. All'andata ci eravamo illusi di poter lottare ancora per lo scudetto, ma bisogna guardare avanti, sappiamo in cosa abbiamo sbagliato". L'arma in più, in questo senso, è Francesco Totti, alla continua caccia di nuovi record da infrangere. Burdisso lo sa e spera: "Da lui mi aspetto ancora di più, sta dando il massimo in questo momento, per me è un orgoglio stare nello spogliatoio con lui e giocare con lui, rimarrà un grande per sempre".

Report: Chelsea’s Carlo Ancelotti spotted in Rome


Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has been spotted in the Italian capital of Rome, fuelling further speculation of him taking over the coaching responsibilities of Roma. The Italian tactician has been linked with a move to Roma with his future at Stamford Bridge wrapped in uncertainty. Chelsea’s inability to win the Champions League yet again and their inconsistency in the Premiershit have reportedly resulted in club owner Roman Abramovich to look for options elsewhere.

The former AC Milan coach is now in Rome, according to ANSA, leading to suggestions that he could be discussing a deal with the club to join it as its coach in the summer. Ancelotti has long insisted that his dream is to coach Roma, who he featured for during his playing career, one day.

However, it is being reported that Ancelotti is in the Italian city for personal reasons and did not hold any meeting, and that he is focused on the Blues’ Premiershit encounter against Manchester United at the weekend. Chelsea is three points behind the leaders in second place with just three more rounds of matches left in the championship.

Chelsea Coach Carlo Ancelotti has denied contact with Roma. “I won’t be working in Italy next season.”

In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, the tactician was quizzed on his future given his links with the capital city outfit.

“Roma? I have never spoken to any clubs,” he stated. “I want to stay in England and I can assure you that I won’t be working in Italy next season.

“I don’t want to talk about my future until the present campaign has come to an end.”

Ancelotti has been associated with the expected American revolution at Roma, after the club’s sale to Thomas Di Benedetto, thanks to his Giallorosso affection.

Ancelotti appeared for the outfit as a player and he’s admitted that he’d one day like to Coach the team.

Giallorossi captain Francesco Totti has also added that he’d like to work under Ancelotti in the future.

“I’ve bossed a lot of very good players, but I don’t know if I will make it in time to train Totti,” Ancelotti noted.

Well, thats a bit more precise and clear from Ancelotti on his future. To say "I can assure you that I won’t be working in Italy next season" is a pretty clear sign, unless, of course, he is sacked, like you said Jeff. He also said "I do not want to talk about my future until the season is over", which supports the theory that he doesn't know himself if he'll remain as Chelsea boss for next season, as Abramovich hasn't given any indication. I don't think our management will be likely to wait around, so Gasperini has just become the favourite, I think, pace Monty.

Good article from (originally from Il Romanista) which says that Andrea Bertolacci and Alessandro Crescenzi are likely to return to Roma for next season and be part of the first team squad. They've both have impressive seasons and both have shown that they have the ability to make it at the top level, so very good news to see these two young romanisti youth products make the breakthrough for us.
