Doni didn't do anything more than he should be expected to as the absolutely bare minimum. He also gave me a heart-attack or three. Sure Burdisso might have won the header, but look how far Juan is from Di Natale there. Di Natale might still have scored because the flick-on fell perfectly for him, but Juan's got to be trying to be somewhere close to the same post code as his man. No doubt it would have been easier had he not been running in molasses.

Yeh sure, I just feel Doni is unfairly criticised at times. He's another who looks desperately short of confidence and so I don't really get why everyone jumps on his back all the time. I thought he done well last night. I don't recall those heart-attack moments? – he did spill the ball at one time from a shot but there was no one near him. Juan's marking was poor for sure and he should of done a lot better, but I was highlighting that I don't think the blame for the goal was all his fault.

It's true Juan would have been more to blame had be picked the ball up on half-way, beaten three men and smashed it past Doni into the top corner; I accept that. Why would you use last night's performance to defend Doni, though? He did fine, but you'd hope you could take for granted your players would do at least fine most weeks.

He's a better keeper than JS and Lobont, pocari - that's the bit I can agree with threadmund about and that's exactly what threaddy means when he talks of Doni getting less credit than he deserves.

im not sure if he's better than JS. better than Lobont, i can agree because our defense is in shambles, Lobont would never get used to how scrappy our defending gets. makes you think we're damned to use "reaction-saving" type Brazilian keepers

I've only checked in there three or four times - whenever thredzo or someone else posts a link to the place. The blogs seem to me generally written by a pretentious pack of kids who if they knew half as much as they think they do would know twice as much as they do. Or something like that. Apologies to those who enjoy the stuff.

Yeh, I tend to agree, I usually just post the links the odd time as they provide a summary of the game. Plus their graphics look nice. You know, we have the potential here to create a blog sort of site similar to that we're we could publish our unrivaled calcio expertise. We have the blog feature up top on this site but thats never really been used, but its also fairly straight-forward to create a new website such as zonalmarking (or anything) which could have linked to SerieAForums. Considering you think you know it all, Tom, and for some reason some people think you know your calcio and tactics of the game, would anything like that be of interest to you? Just throwing it out there.
