Thanks for the welcome! I was in a desperate search to download Roma matches and I just happened to find this wonderful place! I'm really excited to start getting some of our matches, like the most recent derby haha

Also, I think DavidP is referring to the derby we won in 2009/10 season with Vucinic's brace. I tried downloading the match from here (I had a lot of fun searching through all of it haha) but the links don't appear to be working anymore Do you know if your links expire?

What part of that interview suggests to you Menez has an attitude problem? You may have to translate the relevant parts for me.

Sorry, I didn't notice the Football Italia link. The translation omits about two thirds of the interview, I think, and the translation of the bits you've quoted is pretty misleading. For instance, the first comment actually suggests he's determined to make those within the club who've not supported him regret it (eat their words might be the implication) rather than "Roma" and the second is a direct response to the question "you won't rule out leaving at the end of the season" - "no, I don't rule that out." I didn't like the comments when I read them, but they seemed to me the comments of someone who is hurt and a bit bewildered rather than anything else; there's also clearly a lot behind them that we know nothing about and so they're quite specifically pointed; and I agree with the central thrust of a number of the comments that when Monty said the side couldn't support playing all of the front three together this was quite misleading since defensively Menez does incomparably more work than any of Totti, Vooch, and Borriello. He is an attacking midfielder where they are forwards, and so Monty's comment doesn't really look like it makes proper sense. Finally, I didn't see anything in the way Menez played today which suggested that these concerns were being manifested in a poor attitude on the pitch.

The comments were from an interview done earlier in the week, not after the game. The interview was with l'Equipe.

I see the Italian media are falling all over Totti's socalled resurgence. What upsets me is that some sources are also praising the Waterboy, pretty much in the same sentence as they heap praise on Totti. I think you all know my feelings about tender Alex, but it seems some of these folks in the media are part of that brainwashed, Moggi, rubentus generation of synthetic fans. How on earth can the Waterboy be compared to Totti at this stage of his career.

As someone said in the SB last week, Menez needs to feel loved. He seems to go through periods of sulkiness when he doesn't feel appreciated. He didn't get on all that well with Ranieri at the beginning, but they worked out their issues, and for a while last season, Ranieri was getting a lot out of him.

Does anyone else find it a bit odd that Prandelli specifically mentioned speaking with Balotelli, but that he hadn't spoken with DDR? I wonder if it's just because Balo is such a head case.
