Uno dei ruoli a rischio 'estinzione' ÃƒÂ¨ quello del classico regista vecchio stile. Gli esponenti italiani si contano sulle dita di una mano (Cigarini sembra l'unico giovane in grado di prendere l'ereditÃƒÂ dei vari Pirlo, Corini, Volpi e Liverani), cosÃƒÂ¬ le squadre puntano spesso sugli stranieri, come nel caso di Lazio e Roma con Ledesma e Pizarro.

Negli ultimi anni l'Argentina ha 'sfornato' diversi giovani registi interessanti: basti pensare al Boca Juniors che, dopo aver ceduto Gago al Real Madrid, ora sta lanciando Banega.
Un altro connazionale che sembra essere sulla buona strada risponde al nome di Lucas Biglia. Si tratta di un 21enne che gioca in Belgio, nelle fila dell'Anderlecht che lo ha portato in Europa due estati fa, quando lo acquistÃƒÂ² dall'Independiente.

Nato il 30 gennaio 1986 a Mercedes in provincia di Buenos Aires, il ragazzo ÃƒÂ¨ stato paragonato a Redondo fin dai tempi delle giovanili. Soprannominato 'Principito' come Diego Milito e sbocciato nell'Argentinos Junior, Biglia ÃƒÂ¨ stato uno dei protagonisti dei successi dell'Argentina nei Mondiali Under 17 ed Under 20, attirando l'interesse di grandi club europei come il Milan.

Adesso sulle tracce del giocatore c'ÃƒÂ¨ invece l'Inter, che lo sta facendo seguire dai propri osservatori. Ma la squadra piÃƒÂ¹ decisa ad acquistarlo sembra essere l'Atletico Madrid, disposto ad offrire una cifra intorno agli 8 milioni di euro. Il numero 5 ha un contratto fino a giugno 2010.

Nella sua prima stagione in Belgio, Biglia se l'ÃƒÂ¨ dovuta vedere in Champions League con un certo KakÃƒÂ , risultato decisivo sia all'andata che al ritorno con una fantastica tripletta a San Siro. Ora le cose stanno andando molto meglio. Dopo il suo primo gol con la maglia dell'Anderlecht segnato su rigore contro il Brussels, l'argentino ÃƒÂ¨ scoppiato in lacrime per l'emozione. Un'occasione per vedere all'opera il centrocampista c'ÃƒÂ¨ questa sera, quando l'Anderlecht ospita l'Hapoel Tel Aviv nella prima giornata del gruppo G di Coppa Uefa.

MILAN - Patrick Vieira underwent medical tests today after the injury suffered in the first half of Tuesday's Champions League match against CSKA Moscow. The French midfielder has been diagnosed with a second-degree strain of his right medial calf.

MILAN - Massimo Moratti was interviewed by journalists beneath the Saras offices on Monday lunchtime. Here's what the Inter president had to say:

Dr Moratti: the team is doing better than last season, both in the championship and the Champions League. Are you pleased?
"It's going well, as we planned for. Let's say that we'd be pleased if the team continues like this."

Any news on the injury to Dejan Stankovic?
"It looks like a sprain, as today's newspapers reported. He will be out for a while and this will allow him to recover from the problem he had with his heel. These things happen and added to the injury to Vieira, it penalises us a bit. However, we have players who can compensate for this situation."

So there's no need to buy new players during the January transfer window?
"This would be illogical because it's not January now. We can't buy anyone until then, but both players have time to recover from now until January."

Can you tell us anything about Stankovic's recovery time?
"I don't know. I will talk to the doctor."

Is too much importance being given to next Sunday's match between Juventus and Inter, or will it be a different 'derby d'Italia' which will mark the start of a new era?
"It will be a normal championship match between two great clubs who have an important history behind them. This match will always be important."

Some say the refereeing this year is worse than last year. What do you think?
"Every year they say it's the worst year for referees. There are some young referees and as such, they can make mistakes, but it's annoying when you're penalised so I can understand Juventus."

Are Inter still counting on Adriano? How did you interpret the exclusion of the Brazilian from Mancini's team list for Palermo?
"I interpreted it as a technical decision. We have five strikers and he has in front of him those who are in better form. Adriano hasn't lost anything in terms of the club's opinion of him."

Everyone thought his exclusion was punishment for not shaking Mancini's hand after the substitution in Reggio Calabria...
"Absolutely not. That incident has nothing to do with it. Mancini has never mentioned it to me. A lot of players are angry when they come off."

Were you annoyed to read Fabio Capello say that Inter won because of his transfer suggestions, like Ibrahimovic and Vieira, for example?
"I haven't read these declarations. But Ibrahimovic and Vieira were not his suggestions."

So what were they?
"I can't even remember."

Liverfekkin'wankscum have to deal with long term injuries as well in the form of mascherano and alonso.....Alonso was stretched off during th match against arsenal.....I think even gerrard has some niggling problems.....And only sissoko is left for them......So i don't think he will be sold.....
