Guys, let's not use this board to discuss the merits of what gio's done - I think we can all see exactly why he did it. I was tempted to delete the posts myself this morning - leaving just one somewhere. The way the guy spread the posts around was arrogant and annoyed me so I find gio's response entirely understandable. And there are other places to discuss such matters.

Goffredo, I'd do it for sure - if we had the money to spend. Aquilani would have thrived under Ranieri's 4-3-1-2. I would love to see him and DDR running the midfield for Roma.

Totti has done many things over the years that have made me wince and made me feel embarrassed as a Romanista and a defender and admirer of Totti himself. He loses his cool under pressure, he doesn't always conduct himself with the dignity I wish he had and he struggles to lead when his team is under the cosh. There is a reason, though, his team-mates and fellow players hail him as an outstanding and inspirational character. People will always recall his spitting and any of his many other less than impeccable incidents; this story, for me, though, somehow encapsulates his standing in the game, his sincerity and integrity and his leadership:

Sure, any number of other players no doubt share those sentiments; it falls to Totti, though, to articulate them and thereby to represent his club and so much of Italian football and all of football. He has a good and deep soul. Little wonder I blame Totti, then. Forza Abidal.
