dino, we gave up Criscito who is the top young Italian left back and passed on ranocchia who is the future backline leader for Italy. we passed on them for a poor man's chiellini. Another half retarded hard ass with little upside.

Nor is Criscito as good as some people like to make out, I think (and, for the sake of the Azzurri, fear). He is quick, but he's light-weight and I'm not sure he doesn't also lack personalita', in the way Aquilani does (though this is much more of a problem for someone in Aquilani's position and role). Criscito is going to struggle, I think, to play as the left-back of a back-four as teams are just going to land streams of diagonal balls on him and from what I've seen this season he's not going to be able to cope. When the ball's on the ground and it's a question of quickness, he's excellent, but when you're a defender you don't get to choose the kinds of balls that get played towards you.

Moggi announces Juve comeback

Disgraced former director Luciano Moggi has confirmed he’ll be in the stands for Juventus-Milan, ending a five-year absence.
The figure at the centre of the Calciopoli trial has not attended a Bianconeri game since May 7, 2006, in a fixture against Palermo.

However, he told Chiambretti Night television programme that he had bought a ticket and will watch Juve-Milan on Saturday evening with friends.

It fuels already existing rumours that Moggi is preparing a shock comeback to the Juventus Board of Directors.

“These are not issues that concern me. I am interested only in football and do not care if Moggi will come to see us,” noted Coach Gigi Del Neri.
