Moggi: Italy Still Corrupt

Former Juventus transfer guru Luciano Moggi insists that Calciopoli has not cleaned up the Italian game, and says that the corrupt figures who want to control Calcio are still able to do so. He also said that those who drove him out of the game were just jealous of his success.

Moggi was one of Calcio’s shrewdest transfer men up until the Calciopoli crisis in the summer of 2006.

The 70-year-old received a five-year ban from football for his alleged role in the scandal, meaning that he cannot return until 2011, by which time he will be 74.

The Calciopoli scandal was painted by the press as being the answer to all the apparent corruption in the Italian game, but Moggi says that those who want to run things are still in power.

I'm in full agreement with Moggi here that the Calcio is still in corruption, blackmailing and embezzling till its ears.

This is true in every league around the world. It was sad to see how Moratti could do this to the Italian game.

TIM, who caught the Moggi tapes was led by Tronchetti (an Inter shareholder) as well as Guido Rossi, a personal friend of Moratti who would step up to lead the FIGC during Calciopoli. No wiretaps, video evidence, or witnesses were heard at the trial, and Juventus had 3 days to prepare their defense. Juventus was not tried with Article-6 violations, that are relegation-worthy. There is also a statement in the CAF that declared all referee selections to be legal, despite Moggi calling. Another statement from the CAF declares that Juventus fixed matches to win the season, thought it admits there is no evidence that any one match’s outcome was altered. (Other than the Lecce-Parma game that saved the Viola, but that’s the Della Valle’s problem) How can you fix a season if no matches were fixed? Among the recordings was Moggi calling Roberto Rosetti “no good for Juventusâ€

You are boring Zoff. Moggi was doing what was necessary to make Juventus a succesful club. Moratti runs calcio, and Berlusconi is just as crooked. Moggi didn't have the money to compete with them for big players, so he made special moves to balance things. Moratti and other chiefs do the same thing. The difference was, Moggi was better than them, they got jealous and set him up. He was proved of nothing.

If it is easier for you to blame someone, that is fine... it is your style anyways.
