Yeah, Juve are on the verge of becoming a really strong side.

They already have done enough that they have to be clear favourites for the scudetto in the coming season.

Getting in a proven goal-scorer would jump them up to a level where you could see them having a decent stab at the CL.

Barring any big surprise/spending spree from either Milan or Inter, I'd say from the looks of it, Napoli is going to be our biggest competition domestically.

I'll wait for the group stage draw to get optimistic about CL. We're in the 3rd pot for the draw.

I wouldn't go reading too much into the game against Spain. Barzagli and Chiellini were both well short of being properly match fit.

I don't quite get your line of argument with the striker versus a defender.

Juve could do with both, but after the amount of work they had to do to score last season - frequently having to create several absolutely clear chances to score - I can't see how getting a finisher isn't more of a priority than improving a defensive line that was, statistically at least, the best in Europe.

Juve would want an outright sale.

I'd be concerned if Juve went into the new season without a prima punta in the squad.

No issue with Matri leaving to allow Juve to go for Van Persie, but wouldn't be keen on him going to make space for Jovetic, as good a player as Jovetic is.

You think they're trying to offload Matri to Milan and pick up Pazzini?
They'd be making a quick profit, even though they'd be getting a less versatile player (but) who may arguably be a better finisher.

I'm watching the replay of the trofeo tim, and this Masi is pretty good. Not sure I'd want to rely too much on him if Caceres is out for anything more than a couple months.

Suggestion is his signing would be linked to a deal for Jovetic.

Could be that he goes to Fiorentina or signing him allows Juve to send Marrone to Fiorentina.

Never thought a lot of Quagliarella and I would have gone for Pazzini rather than Matri in that January when they were both moving.
