Leo targets Amauri

Milan Coach Leonardo intends to use some of the money earned from the Kaka sale to buy Juventus striker Amauri, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Rossoneri are apparently set for a £68.5m windfall, which would allow them to overhaul a squad that has often been criticised as over the hill.

Leonardo sees Amauri as the perfect foil to Alexandre Pato, the 19-year-old Brazilian striker, who has been great for Milan this season.

Amauri only joined Juventus last summer in a structured deal worth £13m in cash plus Antonio Nocerino and 50 per cent of Davide Lanzafame.

Leonardo reportedly met Amauri five months ago and expressed his admiration for his talent, which was then in full flow.

Juve consider Baldini

Juventus are looking for a director general and believe Franco Baldini, the England assistant manager, is right for the role.

The Bianconeri want someone who knows how to manage relations between the club, the team and the media.

Baldini performed a similar role at Roma between 1999 and 2005. However, he had more wide ranging powers and was also allowed to scout players as well.

Beppe Marotta, the Sampdoria director general, had been targeted, although he is keen to stay in Genoa.

Consequently, attention has turned to Baldini, who joined England in 2007 when Fabio Capello was appointed manager.

Juventus have a very clear structure. Jean Claude Blanc takes care of economic matters and Alessio Secco coordinates the club's transfer strategy.

For this reason, Tuttosport, the Turin based newspaper, believes Baldini would be a strange choice as he might 'step on the feet' of Blanc and Secco.

Juve fancy Jansen

Juventus are scouting Hamburg defender Marcell Jansen, who could solve their problems at left-back, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.

The Bianconeri are short in that area, as Cristian Molinaro is out until October and Paolo De Ceglie lacks experience.

Jansen has impressed this season, helping Hamburg to the UEFA semi-finals and a fifth place finish in the Bundesliga.

He joined Hamburg last April after just one-year at Bayern Munich where some said he couldn't stand the pressure.

Juventus Sign Udinese Star Gaetano D'Agostino - Report

According to Studio Sport, Juventus have completed the signing of the Udinese star, although there is no official confirmation just yet...

Juventus have signed Udinese midfielder Gaetano D'Agostino for €8 million, plus the ownerships of Michele Paolucci and Davide Lanzafame, according to Studio Sport.

There is no official confirmation yet from either Juventus or Udinese, but Studio Sport claim that it is a done deal.

Speculation that the Bianconeri were after D'Agostino, who turned 27 yesterday, has been growing the last few days.

This morning Juventus president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli confirmed that the club admired the former Roma youth product, but denied that negotiations were ongoing.

D'Agostino is well known to be an avid Juventus supporter, and if this deal is confirmed he will become the Bianconeri's third signing of the summer already after Diego and Fabio Cannavaro.

The midfielder, who had an outstanding club season, scoring 11 goals, is expected to make his Italy debut this Saturday against Northern Ireland.
