Cobolli about Diego: «Negotiations are proceeding well»

Just before entering the Lega Calcio headquarters, president Cobolli Gigli confirmed the positive news which have been arriving from Germany in relation to the future of Diego as a Juventus player: «The news arriving from the player and even from the club confirm the good negotiations being handled by Blanc and Secco. At this point we hope to proceed and get to the signatures. Diego is surely a great champions and a youngster of great class».

I don't think it's unrealistic to think that we could challenge for the scudetto next season. If we add a couple more signings (i.e. Cannavaro, a RB, and squad players), we could challenge both domestically and in Europe. To be honest, I don't think it's that far out of our reach.

I don't think it is squad players we lack; it's two or three starters.

If you think like most people I'm guessing you think we need a rb, a lb, and a cm?

It would be awesome if we could swing that, but, you can't expect Diego, Cannavaro, a rb, a lb, and a quality cm to come in one transfer window. Even if we sold some players. Right now, signing a quality RB should be a priority. Get rid of zebina and sign someone who can give us consistency.

I don't necessarily think that signing a LB and a CM is that important this transfer window. Just because I'd give some of our youngsters a chance to prove themselves. Marchisio is coming off a great season and deserves his chance next year. As for lb, I'd give Criscito a chance because he's improved a lot, both offensively and defensively.

Just a good RB would do me, since Diego and Cannavaro are coming.

Anything more than that will be a pleasant surprise.

I watched the Werder game today and after the match Diego saluted the fans as if he wasn't going to play there again. So, I guess it's really going to happen.
