Bastian's on the road to Juve

German international Bastian Schweinsteiger looks increasingly likely to join Juventus at the end of the season.

You guys should all be politicians. You never have an opinion, you just see-saw facts.

MY OPINION is that I would definitely take Huntelaar on Juventus. He is a more natural goal scorer than Amauri and Iaquinta. He could replace someone like Trezeguet, who after this injury, could become more injury prone. Huntelaar is old enough, and has enough big game experience whereas he would not accept going to a small club first. He is a top level striker and will go to a top team in some league. I hope we take him first.

Why I smell Amauri-is-just-an-overrated-goalscorer here. The guy has definitely been a monster for us, not just he scored 3 goals in 4 matches in Serie A and a goal against Artmedia. If Amauri keeps on playing with his current fighting spirit with such a productivity, Juventus won't need to sign another striker. A shadow striker like Cassano, Lavezzi or Pandev will be much beneficial. However strengthening our frontline shouldn't even be our priority these days.

Juventus Back On Diego

Juventus are back in the hunt for Werder Bremen midfielder Diego, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

The Bianconeri have been struggling in Serie A and the Champions League. A number of those problems have stemmed from the midfield lacking creativity and class.

It's crisis time for the club and coach Claudio Ranieri, who may be sacked, but sporting director Alessio Secco is trying to flex his muscles in the transfer market in an attempt to solve the problems.

Tuttomercatoweb claims the Old Lady are planning to make a move for Diego during the January transfer window to try and offer more depth and dimension in the middle.

Juve were after the Brazilian during the summer but they failed to land him, despite coming close. The player has also admitted that he would love to join the Italian club.

Diego has been outstanding for the Bundesliga side and he would be the answer to the Italian team's midfield problems.

A 2-1 loss to Palermo on Sunday afternoon has alarmed the directors at Vinovo and a solution is trying to be found.

Juve's midfield clearly lacked the spark which a player like Diego offers and it's little wonder as to why the club is having a goal drought.

Secco is likely to make a bid early in an attempt to ensure he gets to land his man first, and, more importantly, ahead of the competition.

Can't complain if we sign Diego, but I think we need to change everything if we do sign him.

Diego and Giovinco play the same position. Diego is NOT a CM. He is an AM. This pushes ADP out of the lineup. Diego CANNOT play wing. This forces Camoranesi into a three man CM.

I would definitely prefer Cassano to Diego, but our mangement clearly does not like Italian players. So, Diego is the next best thing out there. Too bad he will sell us out for big bucks two years after he signs for us.

I still think this team needs a box to box CM, or we need to really get Giovinco active.

A CM of Camoranesi - Sissoko - Zanetti is a good CM. Sissoko is hot and cold, so we have Poulsen to step in and take over. Too bad we didn't sign Flamini, Banega, Veloso, Montolivo, Hamsik or Mascherano.

Camoranesi is definitely creative and is the best CM in this formation by a long shot. Zanetti can hit a few nice passes and better yet, is smart, so he can combat Sissoko's lack of substance between the ears. Sissoko can run around and be a big bully because we have hardworking Zanetti and Camo next to him.

Grygera is an OK RB. De Ceglie is young and needs to grow, but has the talent to succeed (too bad we didn't sign the experienced Grosso).

If we care about Giovinco, and he is the future of the team (like he should be). The 4-3-1-2 is the formation we should run.

If you already know that Diego is the next best thing out there, why do you definitely prefer Cassano to him?

Our biggest problem doesn't lie in our attack line, it's indeed in our sterile midfield line. We haven't signed a playmaker since we sold The Bald Algerian.
