Calcio Debate: Is Juve’s Squad Complete?

Claudio Ranieri has infuriated many Juve fans by declaring that the club will be signing no more outfield players this summer. So is the Tinkerman right in thinking that the Bianconeri’s squad is complete?

Yesterday evening, following the signing of Sevilla’s Christian Poulsen, Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri said the following:

"Now all that we are missing is a goalkeeper. I am very pleased with this result and I thank the club for giving me a good team.

''With Poulsen’s arrival we continue with the project that was born the year before I came, and that is to take Juventus to the highest levels again.

“I asked for two players in every position and I got them.â€

This is a very powerful lineup with the exception of Molinaro. Zanetti will be on the left to cover for him, but I am still concerned. With Giovinco maturing and working his way to the top of world, we will (and should) build the team around him. The 4-3-1-2 best suits little Seba.

The centre midfield is particularly a weakness from the creative and offensive points of view. The likes of Sissoko and Poulsen make many errant passes per match. As far as I'm concerned, Juventus landing a top centre midfield is as important as capturing a world class left fullback. Even though, our mercato is over according to the moronic declarations we've been reading since the signing of Poulsen.

When you have an attack like we do you don't need too much more creativity. We had the #1 attack in calcio last year and now we added Amauri and Giovinco. We are fine in the attack department. What we need is a player who can run up and down the left sideline to support Nedved and Giovinco and get some good crosses in.

Zoff82, without going into details, winning is everything, while the notion of entertaining the fans is an absolute sodomy.

I would rather be bored to death and win, than giggle and scream (or whatever people with this attitude do when they watch football matches) and lose.

Manchester United finally wised up and played some boring ass football in the CL. And, they won. Milan was borderline excruciating.. but they won. The Azzurri were ridiculed the entire tournament for their tactics.. but still brought home the trophy.

It is a simple recipe for success... defense wins championships.
