The situation of the injured players

The Bianconeri's medical staff have released details regarding a few of the above players, i.e. Nedved, Salihamidzic, Marchionni, Zanetti, Chiellini, Manninger and Grygera.

Nedved had to leave the pitch near the end of the game against AC Milan as he was hit hard to his left calf, but should have recovered in time for Sunday morning's training session. The same for Salihamidzic, who came off due to slight pain in his left Achilles tendon.

Marchionni and Zanetti are on the mend. Marchionni is recovering well and will undergo another ultrasound scan next week. If the results are positive, he'll be able to start training again. Zanetti also awaits a positive result from the scan he'll be undergoing on Monday.

Meanwhile, Manninger has been suffering from a pain under his left shoulder-blade after playing with Austria on Wednesday. Grygera also hurt himself playing for his national team, as he was hit hard to his knee during the game against England.

And finally, Chiellini. The defender is recovering a little more quickly than predicted and he'll already be in Turin on Monday to continue therapies for the injury he picked up at the Berlusconi Trophy.

Claudio Ranieri can take comfort in the fact three important players like Camoranesi, Marchisio and Trezeguet are back in the team, though.

Bianconeri al lavoro in mattinata. Chiellini ancora in campo

Allenamento mattutino per i bianconeri, per preparare la partita con la Fiorentina in programma domenica sera all’Artemio Franchi. Il gruppo ha svolto un lavoro atletico, prima di essere impegnato in una serie di partitella cinque contro cinque. Come ieri si è visto in campo Giorgio Chiellini che ha lavorato prima del resto della squadra. Allenamento differenziato anche per Zebina, Marchionni e Zanetti. Momo Sissoko e Pavel Nedved, durante la sessione di lavoro, hanno subito due colpi, rispettivamente alla schiena e al piede destro. Le loro condizioni saranno valutate domani.

Still on paper we'll have 7 centre midfielders if we sign Appiah. I've counted Tiago too as he's still a Bianconero.

But don't get me wrong, morra, I like Appiah's playing style, he's indeed a beast. One of the reasons why I hate Capello's era is selling Appiah and signing a leftover like Giannichedda instead. I'd welcome Appiah if he manages to re-gain his old form. The point is that I read somewhere that he suffers from a congenital heart disease which was discovered lately, nearly as the same case as Thuram's.

Chiellini's remarkable recovery

Giorgio Chiellini could be back in action by mid-September – a month ahead of schedule – from his knee injury.

I just hope they aren't rushing him back. If they don't let this thing heal, it could never go away.

Here's another good news...Trezeguet will be fit for our match against Udinese.



And according to Juventus official website, almost all injured players - Zanetti, Marchionni, Chiellini, Trezeguet and Zebina - are rapidly recovering and will be ready after the break of the international matches.
