Domani a New York l'Inter presenterà alle Nazioni Unite il progetto Inter Campus. Verrà illustrata l'attività che da 15 anni l’organizzazione svolge a beneficio di più di 10.000 bambini svantaggiati in ben 25 Paesi per dar loro la possibilità di godere di uno dei diritti più elementari: quello al gioco.

La presentazione avverrà alle 18.00 (ora di New York, la mezzanotte italiana) presso l'UN Headquarters, General Assembly Building, e vi prenderanno parte l'Ambasciatore d'Italia Cesare Maria Ragaglini, lo Special Advisor di Ban Ki-moon sullo Sport per la Pace e lo Sviluppo Wilfried Lemke, Geeta Rao Gupta Deputy Executive Director di UNICEF, il Presidente dell'Inter Massimo Moratti, e Afef Jnifen che interverrà su Inter Campus Tunisia. Saranno presenti per Inter Campus la Presidentessa Carlotta Moratti e gli ambasciatori del programma sociale nerazzurro Francesco Toldo e Luis Figo.

Anzhi: 'We don't want Sneijder'

Anzhi slammed the door on a January move for unsettled Inter star Wesley Sneijder. “He is not on the list of players who interest us.”

The Russians are the favourites to make a mid-season swoop for the midfielder, who has been told he won’t play again until he accepts a pay cut, although PSG, Manchester City and Manchester United are also options.

“There is a lot of talk about Sneijder, but I can guarantee he is not on the list of players who interest us,” said Anzhi director general Ayvaz Kaziakhmedov told FCInterNews.it.

“The club strategy does not allow for random buys. It all depends on the budget and the objectives we decide along with the Coach.

“We want to build an important squad, but that doesn’t mean we can only do it with headline-grabbing names. Signings have to be thought out. However, I won’t rule out surprises in the transfer window.”

all this commotion about Strama and no one consider that we had no midfield

because he was needed had to play alvarez out of position .said all that

I think we all here agree that Strama is not a problem, but a resource..a good, cheap resource at that. The problem for not being able to challenge lie elsewhere and Strama has little possibilities of changing that. As I said before, I’d love to see him managing a well built squad. We don’t need to remember what he’s asked for in summer and what he’s got instead…In my opinion, right now we’re well beyond what I believed was possible…and that’s already saying something. We’ve been running since July, it’s only natural to have a dip in form at this point. What’s remarkable is that when the guys were fit, we could handle opposition who are much better structurally built than us.

FIFPro: 'Inter blackmailing Sneijder'

Players’ union FIFPro have released a statement urging clubs to “end blackmail behaviour,” such as Inter’s situation with Wesley Sneijder.

The Nerazzurri told Sneijder he will not play again until he has signed a new contract agreeing to lower his current wages.

“FIFPro wants to talk to FIFA, UEFA and the European Commission about measures to adjust the behaviour of a growing number of clubs,” read a statement from the worldwide trade union for professional footballers.

“FIFPro signals a growing number of players who are put under pressure to prolong their contract. ‘For clubs, football seems to have become more like business. Football comes in second place.’

“This is no new phenomenon. A club forces a player with a contract nearing expiry to sign a new contract. If the player refuses, the club puts him on the reserve bench or in the grandstand. This professional footballer doesn’t get a chance to play any more. Only when he has signed a new contract he can resume playing.

“The two most striking examples at the moment are Wesley Sneijder (Internazionale, Italy) and Fernando Llorente (Athletic de Bilbao, Spain).

“Sneijder’s contract runs until the middle of 2015. Inter has demanded that the Dutch international extend his contract until 2016, but then for exactly the same total salary. In other words, to work a year longer without receiving any salary for it. Sneijder refused and since then, Coach Andrea Stramaccioni has kept the playmaker outside the match selection.

“Llorente has a contract until the middle of 2013. Last summer, the Spanish international refused to sign a new contract. Since then, Coach Marcelo Bielsa has kept the striker on the bench. He has only come into action as substitute.

“Only last summer, Llorente was in the selection of the European champions Spain, while he was also one of the main players for Athletic, which reached the final of the Europa League in May.

“Sneijder and Llorente are not the only players, says FIFPro secretary general Theo van Seggelen: ‘This type of practice used to be an exception. Unfortunately, we now see clubs in all countries in Europe using this type of measure. For us, the time has come to sound the bell’, said Van Seggelen to the Dutch Volkskrant newspaper and NOS Radio.

“‘Clubs say that players must respect contracts, but why should that not apply in reverse? It is not as if Sneijder has taken a gun to the head of the board of Inter to force them to submit that contract. The club offered it to him with their full understanding.’”

The Dutchman has not played for the club since September.

INTER MILAN PRESIDENT Massimo Moratti insists the club is not blackmailing Wesley Sneijder into signing a new deal, by leaving him out of the side.

The Dutch playmaker has not played for the Italian club since September and club director Marco Branca said that the 28-year-old would not play for the Nerazzuri again until he made a decision on his future.

Sneijder has been presented with a contract offer that involves a pay-cut.

However, Moratti says that any decision on whether Sneijder plays or not rests solely with head coach Andrea Stramaccioni.
“As far as the club is concerned, we are completely open with the player. There is no kind of blackmail,” said Moratti.

“If a contract is valid, it’s certainly valid to ask a person if it can be improved in some way. That doesn’t change the fact that for the time being he’s not playing for technical reasons.

“Obviously no one would want to throw away someone of his value, in whom the club has invested so much. Also it would be counterproductive to pay the wages of a player and then not allow him to play. I believe he is physically and mentally able to play. It depends only on the coach’s choices.”

Former Real Madrid star Sneijder is the highest-paid player at Inter, on a salary of €6m-a-year, and has repeatedly been linked with a move to Manchester United.

Cambiasso not asked to cut pay

The agent of Esteban Cambiasso says that Italian giants Inter haven’t asked his client to accept a cut in salary.

After Wesley Sneijder was this week requested to reduce his wages, whispers have started to circulate that Cambiasso could be the next high earner to be asked to make a sacrifice.

“I don’t know anything about this story,” agent Peppino Tirri told Calcio Mercato. “Esteban has a contract with Inter until 2014, so there is plenty of time to discuss these sort of things.

“Interest from other clubs? I’m not aware of any at this moment in time. Galatasaray made a move last year, but it wasn’t a path that we could go down.”

The 32-year-old nets €4m a season. He’s the third highest paid player at San Siro after Sneijder’s €6m deal and Diego Milito’s €4.5m.

Schalke to bid for Sneijder?

Bundesliga club Schalke could make a January move for Wesley Sneijder, according to reports in the German Press.

Transfermarkt claim that Huub Stevens' side could strike a deal with Inter over the winter break and bring the Netherlands international to Germany.

Rumours have circulated of a number of clubs being interested in the 28-year-old including Manchester United and Anzhi Makhachkala, but the website believe that Die Knappen are willing to offer €25m for the attacking midfielder.

Sneijder has been frozen out at San Siro following his refusal to take a pay-cut and is likely to leave the Nerazzurri within the next couple of months.
