Did anyone know we lost our CL seed position? Obviously not surprising since we're shite but I didn't realise we finally lost it. So in the group stages, we'll definitely be playing one of Barca, Chelsea, Man Utd, Liverfekkin'wankscum, Seville and Bayern straight off the bat. Madrid lost their spot too.

I suspect that will work to your advantage, cajun - it will give Mourinho a chance to measure where you guys are at against one of the other top sides and I think your boys will benefit from playing a couple of really hard European games where the results aren't actually decisive. It will be good experience and I doubt there are two many third and fourth seeds who are going to want to be in that group.

Agreed. Although, I still wouldn't want to face Barca/Chelsea straight off the bat since a humiliation would pretty much smash any confidence we have into pieces. Sevilla and Bayern would be the easy way out in a sense but I would gladly take Pool or United, the two recent teams that have knocked us out.

Trasferimento concluso dopo settimane di trattativa.

E' arrivata finalmente l'ufficialità, per il trasferimento di Marko Arnautovic all'Inter. E' stato il Twente a comunicare sul proprio sito la cessione del talento austriaco ai Campioni d'Italia, con la formula paventata negli ultimi giorni. Si tratta di un prestito con diritto di riscatto a favore dei nerazzurri nel caso in cui il giocatore superi le dieci presenze in nerazzurro.

Una clausola voluta dal club di Corso Vittorio Emanuele per tutelarsi nei confronti del ragazzo, alle prese con problemi fisici a causa di una frattura da stress ad un piede. Intoppo che aveva rischiato di far saltare la trattativa nelle ultime settimane, aggirato da un abile lavoro di mediazione dei dirigenti nerazurri. Ci si aspetta molto da lui in società: soprannominato 'Nuovo Ibrahimovic', nei progetti di Moratti dovrà sostituire a lungo termine il campione svedese passato Barcellona.

Arnautovic, classe '89, giocava dal 2006 in Olanda. Fisico imponente e buona tecnica, ricorda molto il tipo di gioco di Ibra. Può svariare ovunque sul fronte offensivo, dalle corsie esterne alla zona centrale dell'attacco. Dopo aver messo in luce buone qualità nelle ultime due stagioni di Eredivisie, è giunto per lui il momento del salto di qualità: ma la riconferma nell'Inter dovrà meritarsela...
