Sneijder no longer Inter bound

Real Madrid director of sport Jorge Valdano has poured cold water on reports claiming Inter are close to signing Wesley Sneijder.

The Nerazzurri are in the market for a playmaker who can act as a reference point between the midfield and the attack.

After seeing their efforts to sign Deco and Aliaksandr Hleb falter, Inter have turned their attention to Sneijder who is rumoured to be part of Real Madrid's big clearout.

However, Valdano has other ideas and believes Sneijder will play a role for Real next season.
