Perhaps if you stopped giving the refereeing mistakes such disproportionate weight then it'd be less disgusting? Lord knows it was the failure to award that penalty which was the decisive cause of Sphincter's dropping two points and nothing at all to do with the players' mistakes, minor and major, over the preceding 90 minutes.

Yeah, I agree - I've no problems with Moratti having a public bleat about this. It's the done thing in Italy - 'defending' one's club. No doubt it has little impact, but he has a 'right' to have a bit of a whinge. I was picking up more on the idea that it was "disgusting," that the poor officiating is a particularly Italian problem, and that it is, quite fairly, turning people away from the game. It seems to me, in fact, that many fans would rather be "disgusted" by the quality of the officiating because it's easier to blame someone other than one's own players and to isolate a couple of particular incidents rather than concentrating on the various missed opportunities of one kind or another over the course of a game. The media, of course, are especially complicit in this, as are the managers - you'd always expect a manager to want to deflect attention away from his own team's mistakes, but then the media dutifully laps it up. And so the story crystallises around one decision or another rather than around more nebulous but just as important missed opportunities (an over-hit cross, a poor decision when the break is on, a miscommunication between runner and passer, a piece of lazy defending etc. etc.).

Or, to put it another way, I wonder if it's really the case that there are more reffing mistakes these days - rather than that more is being made of them.

Yeah, briz, but part of the point there is that the players are at least as responsible as any ref - when players dive, cheat, try to con an advantage, then it makes life a hell of a lot more difficult for the ref. The real problem is that winning is too important - better to win shamelessly than to lose with dignity. That, though, is the world of football and has been for as long as I've been following it.

Una bella sagra dell’ipocrisia, del far finta di non capire, del voler far passare la vittima come carnefice e così via, un uso e costume italiano molto in voga in questa società italiana disperata e che onestamente sempre meno assomigli all’idea di italia che abbiamo in testa e che non esiste più.

L’Inter ieri ha pareggiato con il Cagliari non per colpa del rigore non dato nell’assalto disperato nei minuti di recupero.
L’Inter ieri ha pareggiato perchè davanti si è trovata un bel Cagliari, ben disposto in ampo e veloce con un sau che ha fatto quello che voleva in mezzo ai tre centrali,
perchè Milito ha fallito una rete a porta vuota che non si può fallire, perchè l’assetto con le tre punte ogni tanto scricchiola sopratutto quando i pezzi più datati cominciano a dover tirare il fiato non avendo più 20 anni.

Quindi non nascondiamo la testa sotto la sabbia per non vedere, se contro i sardi non sono arrivati i tre punti lo si deve ad errori fatti, al valore dell’avversario ed al fatto che il calcio è anche questo.

Però non nascondiamoci neanche se si deve protestare e battere i piedi, perchè il fatto sussiste ed è evidente.E che la bilancia penda clamorosamente ancora dalla stessa parte è chiarissimo.
A favore dei signori di Torino nello scontro diretto il gol in fuorigioco di Vidal di un metro, la mancata espulsione di Lichsteiner, il gol contro il Catania in fuorigioco ed il gol degli etnei annullato, la mancata espulsione di Chiellini contro il Siena e così via…ma sono solo errori..per carità..
A favore dell’Inter il rigore non dato al Catania, mentre contro , oltre agli episodi dello scontro diretto che basterebbero da soli, abbiamo l’espulsione di Nagatomo, il rigore fasullo con l’Atalanta , il fallo di mano di Sau nel raddoppio di ieri, il rigore non dato su Ranocchia..ed una brutta sgradevolissima sensazione culminata nella frase di Giacomelli ” voi dell’Inter dovete stare zitti”… questi sono errori ugualmente? ma che casualità. come tanti anni fa?

I signori di Torino, che si sono sentiti chiamati in causa , hanno risposto nella loro solita maniera falsa, continuando a propugnare una teoria finta, che insieme ai loro scribacchini torinesi ed ai loro commentatori tv ex bianconeri languidi come lumache stanno portando avanti da tempo.
Potremo ripetere fino alla notte dei tempi che dopo aver scavato fino al centro della terra hanno trovato una chiamata di Facchetti relativa ad una partita di coppa Italia in cui è Pairetto a fare il nome dell’arbitro e non viceversa, ma per loro la verità non esiste.
E’ tutto un complotto contro i colori bianconeri, che li ha privati di due scudetti sul campo , come si sono inventati, insieme alle tre stelle.

E non basta che siano stati condannati in tutte le sedi di giudizio sportivo e penale, che i loro amministratori siano stati radiati, che gli arbitri loro amici siano stati cancellati e condannati, che ci siano decine di intercettazioni in cui sghignazzano di ogni avversario facendo il bello e cattivo tempo, che abbiano chiuso arbitri negli spogliati, regalato schede telefoniche estere ai direttori di gara per addomesticare le partite ed ammonire i giocatori diffidati prima degli scontri con la Juventus, non basta essere stati condannati perchè si drogavano i calciatori ed aver fatto ricadere la colpa solo sul medico per farne uscire la società pulita.

Questa è l’evidenza dei fatti di quel sistema, che esisteva, che era volto a favorire una sola ed una società che per questo è stata retrocessa.

No, si vuole andare a prendere ancora una volta una relazione di un Pm che giustamente faceva presente che mentre c’era chi aveva sulle spalle una montagna, anche per l’Inter era apparso un sassolino, e che per questo poteva essere processata per “illecito sportivo”, ma il poter essere processato non significa che poi si venga condannati come invece è sucesso a chi adesso fa finta di non aver commesso nulla, e la cosiddetta prescrizione scatta solo se si viene condannati.
Ma vadano a prenedere le migliaia di pagine di relazioni di tutti i Pm e le condividano sul loro sito ufficiale, siamo impazienti di leggerle…

Adesso attendo la squalifica per Moratti e Stramaccioni da parte di Braschi…

Inter hit by Cassano ban

As was being speculated, Inter’s Antonio Cassano has been handed a two-match ban for his behaviour after the draw with Cagliari.

The Italian cursed match officials in the tunnel at the end of a game in which the Beneamata felt they deserved a late penalty.

For his use of foul and abusive language, the former Milan man will now miss the games against Parma and Palermo.

Inter boss Andrea Stramaccioni has also been given a one-match touchline ban after he was dismissed on Sunday. Juventus assistant Massimo Carrera has been handed a 90-minute stop too.

Meanwhile, 15 other players have been suspended for next weekend’s games.

They are: Barreto (Palermo), Capuano (Pescara), Cigarini (Atalanta), Labrin (Palermo), Taider (Bologna), Ujkani (Palermo), Zanon (Pescara), Gargano (Inter), Cavani (Napoli), Parolo (Parma), Hetemaj (Chievo), Cascione (Pescara), Pizarro (Fiorentina), Sardo (Chievo), Astori (Cagliari).

Inter squad for Rubin Kazan

Inter have named their 20-man squad for Thursday’s Europa League trip to Rubin Kazan, resting many top stars.

The Nerazzurri have already qualified for the next round of the tournament, but are joint leaders of Group H with the Russians.

It seems as if Andrea Stramaccioni is not going to focus all his attention on winning this head-to-head so he can secure the top spot.

Samir Handanovic, Antonio Cassano, Diego Milito, Walter Samuel and Esteban Cambiasso are among those left behind.

Oh, I'm not saying Juve did the right thing. I would prefer they ignore everything that clown Moratti has to say. I'm just saying I can see why the club and its' fans get annoyed.
