Moratti criticises Balotelli entourage

Inter President Massimo Moratti has criticised a statement made last night by Mario Balotelli's brother.

The Nerazzurri were accused of overstepping the line for playing Balotelli against Genoa on Sunday when he was allegedly suffering from a fever.

Jose Mourinho has called the accusation a lie, as Inter's doctors apparently gave Balotelli the all clear to play.

Speaking before a meeting of the Lega Calcio, Moratti said: “The important thing is that they don't damage the club and the player.â€

Come ai bei tempi, Mino Raiola torna sotto i riflettori nerazzurri. Adesso che gli è stata affidata la procura di Balotelli, l’agente risponde nuovamente su argomenti e giocatori legati all’Inter, ma dalle sue parole non si intravedono particolari rischi per il futuro interista di SuperMario: "Ero già il manager di Balotelli da un paio di settimane, non c’è nulla di clamoroso. Se Moratti dice che con me ha chiuso buoni affari, posso dire che ha ragione. Credo che l'affare, Moratti, l'abbia fatto con Ibrahimovic, quando l'ha preso e quando l'ha venduto a una cifra molto più alta. Non ci sono mai stati problemi tra me e la società nerazzurraâ€

Inexperienced keeper set to start crucial Champions League clash

Ross Turnbull is set to be thrust into the limelight with Chelsea having been plunged into a goalkeeper crisis. First-choice keeper Petr Cech was forced off with a calf strain in the 2-1 UEFA Champions League defeat at Inter Milan last month. And Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Turnbull is likely to start the return leg on Tuesday following an injury to back-up keeper Hilario.

The Portuguese veteran filled in against Manchester City and Stoke but suffered a groin injury in last week's FA Cup win against the Potters and with Cech not yet back in full training, Turnbull is set to make his first Premiershit appearance for the Blues against West Ham on Saturday. The 25-year-old has made just 98 career appearances and only played twice since his free transfer from Middlesbrough last summer, but Ancelotti insists he has faith in the inexperienced keeper.

"We have a problem with the goalkeepers," admitted Ancelotti. "We don't know if Hilario or Petr are able to play on Tuesday. Tomorrow (Saturday) I want to put the best line-up out because it's an important game. We don't have to think about the Inter game.

"We need to win and go back to the top of the table, so I want to put the best players out, but we have problems. Michael Essien, Ashley Cole and Jose Bosingwa are out. Also, Ricardo Carvalhoand Hilario are not able to play. Cech is doing physiotherapy. He did not train on the pitch, so it's very difficult for him to recover for Tuesday. Hilario had a problem against Stoke and has not been able to train this week.

"So, in goal, Turnbull will play, and on the bench will go Rhys Taylor, our young goalkeeper from the reserve team. I'm not worried," added the Chelsea chief. "The performance of the team does not rely upon the goalkeeper. I don't want to say we can play without a goalkeeper, because that's an important player for the team, but I have confidence in Turnbull.

"He has not played a lot of games this season but, with the work with our goalkeeping coach, he has improved very well. I have no problem about playing Turnbull against Inter Milan."

This will act as an extra incentive to sell Muntari come summer which is great. I don't care if he doesn't play for Inter again.

This is the first time in a long time I've seen us with a project moving forward. With hindsight, Mancini's style of play wasn't taking us anywhere and neither was Cuper's etc. The scudetto means very little at this point imo and I'd trade it all for the chance to beat Chelsea and get into the next stage which will mean a lot more than another title in a weak league. Mou's got some weak points but what coach doesn't?

At least it's very clear he'll leave us in a great position instead of what Mancini did when he left us with the most useless squad in Europe.

Eto'o sets Euro target
Cameroon forward insists Mourinho will be focused on victory

Inter Milan striker Samuel Eto'o is bullish about his side's chances of beating Chelsea to reach the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals and reckons he will get on the scoresheet at Stamford Bridge. The Cameroon international is targeting his third Champions League victory after lifting the trophy twice with Barcelona, and is the only player to have scored in two finals.

Inter lead Carlo Ancelotti's men 2-1 after the first leg of their round-of-16 clash and Eto'oadmits that he has dreamed of scoring the winner at Chelsea.

"I always improve my own level when I play in a match of this size and I have already dreamed of scoring the winning goal at Stamford Bridge," Eto'o told the News of the World.

"Chelsea are the favourites and the pressure is on them. Every minute that passes without a goal on Tuesday will add to that pressure. They will feel the tension.

"That doesn't mean we will be defensive. That would be a grave error. "We will attack them from the start and if we win this game then I believe we will go on to win the Champions League."

Most of the hype in the run-up to Tuesday's showdown is about Jose Mourinho's return to face his former club, but Eto'o has dismissed any sentiment and insists Inter will be focused on qualifying.

He added: "This not a duel between Jose Mourinho and Carlo Ancelotti or between Samuel Eto'o and Didier Drogba. It is between Chelsea and Inter. Mourinho going back to Chelsea is a big thing for him but he is very professional and will be prepared for the situation.

"I had the same thing when I went back to the Camp Nou during the group stages earlier this season. "I think this is a game where there will be goals - and we are determined to prevail."
