Frank/Dejan, I wasnt really impressed by Donati. I mean not that I expected much from a youngster being at his first game with the club, but I did remember Balotelli's first game/s & especially Santon's first game/s and IMO there was a big difference. Balotelli & Santon immediately showed that they're where they belong. Donati IMO needs more time and I dont see him as a new Santon but rather a new Pasquale (you remember the guy right?). But I'm ready to grant him more chances to impress. Dejan he played mostly in defence and came forward a couple of times. He gave a couple of good crosses. Physically he is not tall but he seems a rather strong fella.
With regards to the game, there were 3 clear points that need comment. First of all, how important Wesley Sneijder is for us. When going forward, everyone looks up to find him, then dart towards the penalty area, knowing that he will do the best thing. There was a moment with Stankovic which was emblematic. He gave the ball to Sneijder at the end of the penalty area, and though they were both surrounded by 5 Livorno defenders, Stankovic darted inside the peno area and took shooting position before Sneijder actually released the ball for him. He was sure he would receive that ball from him, no matter what. Second point....Chivu is a CB! He is ok as a LB, but he is definately a CB. Mou should take him into consideration instead of Cordoba, now that Samuel is out.
Third point...Balotelli gives us all a good reason to side with Mou by trying to give him some hard time. Yesterday, he was frustrating to say the least. He rarely took the best option available, but rather opted for the most choreographic one. Dived a million times....didnt run...a waste. That is why Mou keeps doing what he does. We want a champion, not an unconsistant raw talent.

about DONATI i disagree with you under
MAURINNHO he go a long way .different playes then santon
but strong and dont make mistakes ,and by the way can trow the
ball in much further that moincon.
balottelli for change never got a yellow.
may show maturity.

Well yes thatÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s meÃ¢â‚¬Â¦..due to festivity season, most of us got a nick change for Christmas season, but will return to normal after thatÃ¢â‚¬Â¦.
With regards to Donati, IÃ¢â‚¬â„¢m not saying he was horrible or even bad. IÃ¢â‚¬â„¢m just saying that I didnÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t get that Ã¢â‚¬ËœsparkÃ¢â‚¬â„¢ like I did when I saw Santon or Balotelli play their first games with us. I said I will definitely give him more time, since Mourinho believes a lot in him and therefore there is talent, but I say his first game was ok at most. As you say he is different than Santon, but if you ask me, he seems to have quite some technical limits to be a replacement for Maicon. Balotelli didnÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t get a yellow, but he seemed not to give a shit about the game. I wanted to see him play a little more for the team, but instead he always preferred a personal approach towards goal. Also I dislike the fact that throws himself on the floor for every minimum contactÃ¢â‚¬Â¦.that is quite embarrassing to be honest.

Frank, that is why I said I wanted to grant him more chances. He is indeed not naturally talented, therefore one has to adapt to what he can offer before giving a positive/negative judgement. But please, let's not get carried away with it. It's true that lately some of our youngsters turned out to be good enough material for Inter, but for every 2 that succeed, there are 50 who dont. So let's wait his evolution before we can say he is Inter material. I dont want to end up like Juve, who with their youth system players found great players like Marchisio & Giovinco, but also played for 2 seasons with the likes of Molinaro....hope you know what I mean here.

The only team I didn't want to draw, we got. We had to face the best team in the world in the group stages and now arguably the second best team in the round after. The only positive I can think of is that when we got out, no-one can say it wasn't expected or we choked.

First it was - Ibra vs Eto'o & Kaka vs Milan
Now it's - Beckham vs Man Ure & Mou vs Chelsea

If these are mere coincidences, I dont wanna know what would happen if they were fixed....

BTW, The only Italian pot A team got arguable the best pot B squad....since some would be happy that the Italians lose one CL spot in favour of the Germans..

Anyway, we're all out by this round.

Great! Now we are definitely out of the Champions League. I feel sorry for Fiorentina, they deserved much better.

I can't digest the fact that teams like Arsenal always get shitty teams while Fiorentina get the worst of the lot.

Without Sneijder, you guys move the ball so slowly - there's no ball speed in your game which makes you just stodge to watch.
