Adriano Banned For Three Games After Punch Caught On Camera
The troublemaker has done it again, and now he will pay the price, as justice and television cameras catch up with him.

Inter's Brazilian striker Adriano has received a three-match ban after he punched an opponent in last night's Serie A match between the Nerazzurri and Sampdoria; Inter won 1-0 thanks to a single goal from the culprit himself.

Jose Mourinho’s men took all three points, allowing them to maintain their three point lead at the head of Serie A, but a bout of violent conduct from the Brazilian has spoiled the party for i Biscione.

In the 40th minute of the game Adriano should have been sent off for a punch to Daniele Gastaldello’s stomach, while trying to free himself from his marker.

The referee did not notice the aggressive act, and so the judgement fell on the shoulders of the Sporting Judge Gianpaolo Tosel, who dished out the ban.

The Brazilian had just recently rejoined the squad and began to play well once again, only to do something like this and dent his reputation further.

Mourinho, too, was sent off in yesterday's encounter after saying something to the referee, which was obviously inappropriate and the Portuguese coach was dismissed to the stand. As a result he has also been awarded a one-match touchline ban.

Pele and Mullins bolster Portsmouth midfield

Portsmouth announced a double signing on Monday as Portuguese midfielder Pele arrived on loan from Porto and Hayden Mullins was signed from West Ham United on a three-and-a-half-year deal.

Pele, 21, a Portugal under-20 international, has joined the Premiershit side until the end of the season with a view to a permanent deal.

"Hayden and Pele will add strength to our midfield," executive chairman Peter Storrie told the club's website (www.portsmouthfc.co.uk).

"Both players have been on our radar for a while but we wanted them here in time to beat Monday's midday deadline to play against Aston Villa (on Tuesday).

"Hayden is an experienced player who has played exceptionally well against us in the past. He's a guy with immense experience in the Premiershit and that's what we need in this situation."

Mullins, 29, joined West Ham from Crystal Palace in 2003 and has been a regular in Gianfranco Zola's team. He joins Portsmouth for an undisclosed fee.

"Pele is an exciting young talent. He did well for Inter Milan before joining Porto," Storrie said.

"He's an expensive player so it's a deal with an option to buy so we can both have a look at each other."

Pele joined Porto at the start of the season having played for Inter as a teenager.

"The Portsmouth fans can expect to see a lot of work and dedication and hopefully some goals," Pele told the website.
