I always thought that Juve's main strenght is their physicity and aggresion, and once you take that from them, they are just an average side + DP. We are physically much stronger than they are, and we put up an equally aggresive performance. That is why they were annulled. Obviously, there were also some massive tactical displays in our midfield. Zanetti completely shutted Nedved out of the game, Muntari likewise on Marchionni, whereas Cambiasso doubled the marking everywere + not to mention that he didnt make 1 bad pass all match. Stankovic contributed in giving us the link between midfield & attack which was so much needed in previous matches. Also our attackers, they played wide and forced their defence to open up for our midfield incursions. This time around, Ibra owned Chiellini & Legro, even though I must admit that Chiellini is a fuckin monster.
This is the difference between Mourinho & Mancini. Mancini gave the right tactical formation to this side, whereas Mourinho is giving us the right tactical movements.Mancini would have played a diamond 4 man midfield, but he would have played it narrow, whereas Mou understood that a diamond midfield is good, but the 2 central midfielders had to play wide.
Great win anyways, and it serves the gobbi right to not open their mouths before such a match, considering they are an inferior squad.
