Adriano's Agent Bemused By Bench Role

Adriano's agent, Gilmar Rinaldi, claims he is in the dark as to why his client was left on the bench against Roma on Sunday evening...

Adriano looked as if he had won a starting spot back under Jose Mourinho after some positive performances where he also scored a couple of goals for the club this season.

However, during the international break the player returned late from Brazil for club training and was left on the bench in Inter's 4-0 win over Roma at the Stadio Olimpico. However, Adriano's agent, Gilmar Rinaldi, claims no one has let him know if the two incidents are related to one another.

"Adriano was on the bench because of his delayed return? I don't know. No one at Inter has told me anything," explained Rinaldi.

He went on to speak about the Brazilian's contractual negotiations with the club: "A renewal? We haven't spoken about it with Inter yet. I don't know whether to come in Decmeber or January, but there are still two years left on his contract."

It remains to be seen if Adriano will take any part in Inter's Champions League match on Wednesday against Anorthosis Famagusta at the San Siro.

Moratti Quiet On Mancini-Juve Rumours

Inter president Massimo Moratti claimes he knows nothing about a supposed coaching change at Juventus involving Roberto Mancini...

Juventus' season has continued to worsen after the 2-1 defeat to Napoli at the Stadio San Paolo on Saturday, and many believe Claudio Ranieri's days at the club are numbered.

Many names have been linked with the potentially vacant position, but one of the more imaginative suggestions is that it could be entrusted to former Fiorentina, Lazio and Inter coach Roberto Mancini (pictured).

Mancini was let go by Moratti in exchange for Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho, but the Inter president says he is unaware of Mancini's future plans and any associations he may have with the Bianconeri.

"I don't know anything about it," Moratti bluntly told SKY. "You should ask Juve."

Mancini has been linked with a number of posts but still remains unemployed. In the meantime, he also has been feuding with Inter representatives over his contract as they look to reach an agreement on his compensation.

Many feel a poor result against Real Madrid on Tuesday at the Stadio Delle Alpi could signal the end of Claudio Ranieri's reign as Juventus head coach.

Mancini To Replace Ranieri On Friday - Reports

Former Inter coach Roberto Mancini spent the night wining and dining with Juventus president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli and chief executive Jean Claude Blanc and he may replace Claudio Ranieri by the end of the week, according to Calciomercato.com...

Reports in Italy have suggested that Mancio has been flirting with Juve as he looks at a way back into Calcio and, with Claudio Ranieri's job on the line, the former Inter boss is being lined up as a replacement.

The Bianconeri have been woeful and Ranieri has been given an ultimatum by the board. If he fails to win against Real Madrid then he could be booted out by the Old Lady, leaving Mancini to come in and fill the void.

Calciomercato.com claims Mancini met with Juventus officials where they enjoyed a meal together and spoke about all things Calcio.

The coach is currently job-less and he would be willing to take a pay cut if the Bianconeri call him for work.

Ranieri knows that he will be playing for his job against the Spanish giants later tonight and a poor result could see Mancini arrive by the end of the week.

This latest twist in events is likely to have Juventus fans up in arms given Mancio's past with Inter. The coach was also famous for saying his teams won Scudetto's on the pitch.

Elano in dark over Inter - Brazilian a fan of Mourinho

Elano has denied knowing anything about interest from Inter Milan after the Manchester City midfielder was linked with a possible switch.

Former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, now in charge at Inter, is reported to be a big admirer of the talented Brazilian.

However, speaking to the local press whilst back in his homeland for the recent World Cup qualifiers - Elano played down talk of Inter, although he did admit to being a fan of Mourinho.

"I do not know anything," he told O Globo.

"In recent days I have been focused on games with Brazil and I have not had the opportunity to talk to my agents.

"Sure, I can not deny that Mourinho is a great technician, but now my head is at City."

no, sorry, i didnt mean it like that. if he is signed by juve, doesnt he still get his payout from moratti? because moratti canceled his contract?

No, if he signs for anyone else, there will be no payout because he cant be bonded by 2 contracts. In other words, he has to chose which contract to stick with. He can sign for another club anytime he wants, but by doing this Mancini has to cancel the previous contract with Inter. Right now, he is still an Inter employee, in the sense that should we hypothetically fire Mourinho, he would be obliged (if wanted by Moratti) to be InterÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s coach up till he cancels the contract with Inter (thus nullifying any amount due from Inter).

Cambiasso has only slightly strained his hamstring so he should be back after the Genoa game. About time we get some fuckin luck with injuries. Also Maxwell is nearing full fitness again so Chivu can stay at CB and Zanetti can move back to the midfield. After seeing Chivu at CB vs Roma, I'd hate to see him wasted on the left.

This from Mourinho's interview after the CL game: "Quaresma? He likes kicking the ball with the outside of his foot, but if you ask me about him in a few months' time we'll be talking about a different Quaresma.

It appears Mourinho is going to copy what Ferguson did with R7 when all he was doing was tricks and skills with very little end product and try and straighten him out. Even if Quaresma becomes half of R7, we're in business. But it looks like he's not happy with Q77's style.

i think it's no surprise that we have kept two clean sheets since we have played with chivu and cordoba at the back. Cordoba is solid and chivu is class. Mou likes this partnership and he has mentioned those are the two positions that he rarely changes. So i don't see him changing that partnership.

And mancini is dreadful with corner kicks. He wastes most of them. It's high time someone else like chivu took it.
