Lotito: We Can Win Scudetto, Not Afraid Of Inter!

Lazio president Claudio Lotito believes his side is as strong as the teams which played under the Sergio Cragnotti era and he hasn't ruled out a scudetto chase. The chief has also told Inter and Jose Mourinho that he is not scared of them...

The Biancocelesti are currently the league leaders in Serie A after a sublime start to the campaign. There is real belief of a Scudetto win this season and no-one believes in it more than club president Lotito.

The chief insists his side are good enough to challenge Inter for the Tricolore and he admits that he and his club are not afraid of anyone in Serie A and he has fired the warning shots already.

"This Lazio is as strong as the one which played under the Cragnotti era," said Lotito.

"The quality and play of the side is similar to the one which lifted the year 2000 Scudetto. We are playing real football and as a team as the ball is for everyone not just certian players.

"Inter? We are not scared of anyone. I don't think they will kill the league. We will fight everyone and we are not afraid to."

Lotito's no nonsense attitude over the summer has seen his side undergo a complete revolution. The Aquilotti are flying high and they will be hoping for more points when they take on struggling Lecce at the Olimpico this weekend.

Moratti Confident Of Mourinho Success

Inter President Massimo Moratti is confident that coach Jose Mourinho will be a success despite a slightly shaky start to his tenure in charge.

Mourinho replaced the sacked Roberto Mancini in the summer, but the first few weeks to his reign has not been the smoothest of rides.

The Nerazzurri lost 1-0 in the derby to Milan last Sunday night, and in midweek they could only manager a disappointing 1-1 home draw against Werder Bremen in the Champions League.

despite the lack of a playmaker, i strongly feel that our weekness is our defence. we need that "world class" cb.
