Mou: 'Inter and Chelsea in my heart'

Jose Mourinho has fuelled speculation of a potential return to his old clubs by declaring “Chelsea and Inter are still in my heart.”

Last week the Real Madrid manager hinted he could be coming back to one of his former teams and today spoke to Sky Sports News.

“In this moment, I am completely independent of talks and speculations, and people who know me, know me well enough that I think about my job at Real Madrid,” said Mourinho.

“I have a house and I have big emotional connections with Chelsea and one day I think naturally I will have to be back to English football, or to Chelsea or to another club.

“Of course, Chelsea means to me differently than other clubs. Chelsea is in my heart as Inter is, for example.

“You know, there is a lot of talk but I think people have to understand that I can be in London very often, because we have a house here and I love it here and our daughter is coming to study in London and being in London should be seen as a normal thing for us.

“But every time I come and people see me shopping, people start immediately making connections about a return and I feel it a little bit... because I say every day I love it here and I have a fantastic time, and that I will return one day so, to be fair, I give a little contribution to the speculation.

“But at the end of the day I am in Madrid and very committed with ambitions for the club for the rest of the season.”

Sounds like he is doing the same thing with Madrid as he did with us before winning the champions league, take the heat off the team and directing it to his future. I miss Mou But I am also happy with Strama. With him, we have a future and hopefully some sort of stability.
We lose him, our project goes out the window so we must have more patience.

Summer school for Stramaccioni

Andrea Stramaccioni will have to attend summer school if the Inter boss wants to gain his Coverciano coaching licence.

The tactician has rubbished the claim that he won’t be able to sit his exam in June because of a lack of attendance, but he’s admitted he has some catching up to do.

“I'm keen to make up all the classes I've missed,” he told Inter Channel on Friday. “They obviously know why I have not been there at times.

“The course doesn't factor in the European club calendar given that it is for Coaches who theoretically haven't yet reached the top flight.

“I’m an exception to this, so obviously there have been a few Tuesdays and Wednesdays where I've been on a plane somewhere because of a Europa League game.

“I've already agreed with Renzo Ulivieri, the President of the Italian Coaches’ Association, that I'll catch up on these over the summer.

“I will be there for the exam and I'll make Inter proud.”

Stramaccioni was appointed Inter boss last March after being promoted from the youth team set-up to replace Claudio Ranieri.

Juventus are eyeing revenge, while Inter need maximum points in the Derby d’Italia as they chase a Champions League position.

Given the international break and recent postponement of their clash at Sampdoria, Inter have not featured in Serie A since their loss against Bologna. That was followed by an ultimately pointless victory over Tottenham in the Europa League, in which they were eliminated on away goals.

The Marassi fixture was delayed due to wild weather. That leaves Inter seven points from the Champions League zone, but they remain confident in attaining a top three spot. Constant chatter surrounds Coach Andrea Stramaccioni and his future, especially if Inter do miss out.

Inter have recovered a trio of players for this match. Matias Silvestre, Yuto Nagatomo and Ricky Alvarez have shaken off knocks to be up for selection, but Joel Obi, Gabi Mudingayi, Diego Milito and Luca Castellazzi are out for the season. Dejan Stankovic is also absent, while Juan Jesus is suspended. Fredy Guarin was late in returning from international duty and is in doubt.

It was Inter who ended Juve’s undefeated streak last November. Having commenced the streak in May 2011, the Bianconeri’s last addition to the list was a Halloween win over Bologna. Days later, Antonio Conte’s men were stunned by Inter after taking the lead. Claudio Marchisio admits they are seeking payback at San Siro.

The Serie A leaders travelled to Bologna a fortnight ago and left with maximum points, a crucial result against an in-form opponent. Second half strikes from Mirko Vucinic and Marchisio meant they retained their nine point advantage over Napoli.

In view of their upcoming Champions League match with Bayern Munich, Conte may rest some players. Giorgio Chiellini did not feature for Italy during the past week and will not be risked, while Martin Caceres, Simone Pepe and Nicklas Bendtner will play no part.

Juventus made it 20 San Siro victories last term as they enjoyed a 2-1 result. Nonetheless, the trail Inter’s mark of 35 Milano wins, in addition to 25 draws.

Keep an eye on: Antonio Cassano (Inter) – He has seven Serie A goals against Juve but none since his Sampdoria days. Now the Bari native must find his scoring boots to ensure the Nerazzurri remain in the Champions League hunt. Cassano has scored just twice domestically since Christmas.

Kovacic looks pretty useful.

Could do with adding a little muscle and his defensive awareness doesn't seem great, but those are both things you'd expect from a player of his age.

He possesses a fantastic change of pace - pretty rare for a regista. People are going to have to think twice about rushing in to close him down when he has the capability to just nudge the ball to the side and dart away from them.

Rumour is that Strama will be our coach again next season but if it doesn't look like we will be qualifying for the champions league for the season after next at around this stage of the season he will go. Rumour, rumour, rumour...

Season is over ... my only hopes are now that of landing the Coppa Italia. Let's start thinking of next season ...

We need to build a team of youngsters ... this time for real.Youngsters we can count on ... Kovacic, Jesus, Ranocchia ... then there are the 'already formed' players - Handanovic, Guarin, Nagatomo, Placio, Cassano ... the experienced players - Zanetti, Cambiasso, Stankovic, Samuel, Chivu, Milito. That's a total of 14 players ... this means we need 8-10 new players to complete the squad. For me all the rest can leave, with the only doubts being Alvarez who is a talented player but needs to be motivated, and Gargano who can run and tackle hard but needs to stick to that and not passing the ball.

I didn't mind the performance against Juventus ... there was heart in it. But it was clear that Juve was the better team. I remain of the opinion that it will not take too much to create a winning side (in Italy ... in Europe its a different story). What we need is two or three key players and some talented youngsters that can grow and become the new Zanetti's, Cambiasso's and Stankovic's.
