Inter To Lift CL - Sacchi
Former Milan and Italy coach Arrigo Sacchi believes Inter are amongst the favourites and he has given his views on Jose Mourinho’s work thus far.

The Nerazzurri picked up their first win of the Serie A campaign on Saturday night against Catania and they will be trying to carry that good form into the game against Panathinaikos later tonight.

Sacchi believes the Appiano Gentile-based side have got what it takes to emerge triumphant from the Rome final in May 2009.

"Inter are one of the favourites to win the Champions League final," Sacchi told La Gazzetta Dello Sport.

"Investment, good planning and the players Mourinho wanted have improved the squad greatly.

"The Nerazzurri are not yet in their peak condition but that is normal. However, they are in the right spirit and have their concepts right.

"Mourinho has done a great job so far and the team is serious, concentrated and involved in a great project. They are on the right track.

"Inter have an impressive squad and they have an excellent coach who can orchestrate things. He won’t have any problems."

Mourinho was dragged in through the San Siro door by president Massimo Moratti and he is tasked with bringing the European Cup to Inter.

The former Chelsea coach won the trophy with Porto in 2004.

Victor Obinna is set to join Inter Milan's squad this week.

Gazzetta dello Sport says the former Chievo Verona striker is expected to join Inter training tomorrow after recovering from missing out on a move to Everton on transfer deadline day.

Jose Mourinho, the Inter coach, is delighted with the Nigeria international's addition and will give Obinna every chance to establish himself in his squad.

I Am Not A Trouble Maker - Mourinho

Inter coach Jose Mourinho insists he is not a trouble maker or a provoker following the recent spat between him and Catania sporting director Pietro Lo Monaco. The ‘Special One’ says he is just ‘defending’ his side from attack.

All the recent trouble happened following Inter’s 2-1 win over Catania at the weekend.

The Nerazzurri coach said his side should have ‘beat the Sicilian’s by at least five goals’ before Lo Monaco replied by saying Mourinho deserved ‘a smack in the mouth’.

The war of words has continued but the former Chelsea man insists he is not a trouble maker but someone who is merely defending his side from verbal abuse.

This is a 'transfer' I would really welcome. Not only is he my 'footballing hero', but can you guys imagine what influence this could have on Argentianian players? Nowadays one sees Leonardo's influence on Brazilian imports to Milan. This could be massive for us....not to mention that his daughter is Aguero's official fiance, and its not like Aguero is currently playing for Real Madrid or something...its just Atl. MAdrid.

Così come di spazio ce n'è per Mourinho, da qui alle 15 di domenica, per studiare approfonditamente la forma dei suoi giocatori e capire chi schierare insieme all'intoccabile Ibrahimovic a Torino, contro i granata. Sulle fasce il tecnico portoghese ha solo l'imbarazzo della scelta. L'ingresso ufficiale in rosa di Obinna, dopo 3 anni in 'parcheggio' al Chievo, è solo l'ultimo ritocco ad un reparto quanto mai fornito.

Detto che è difficile pensare all'esclusione di Quaresma, vista l'insistenza con la quale lo Special One ha preteso dalla società l'acquisto dell'ex stella del Porto, resta a disposizione una sola maglia da titolare, che dovrebbe finire sulle spalle di Mancini, anche se Adriano, decisamente più adatto al 4-4-2, ha dimostrato anche ad Atene in Champions di aver finalmente completato il proprio recupero, sia sul piano fisico che su quello comportamentale.
