Mourinho Eyes Essien, Again
Jose Mourinho is set to be unveiled as Internazionale’s new coach today, and his first order of business will be to capture Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien…

The former Blues boss has been granted a gigantic transfer-chest of around ₤100 million by Inter president Massimo Moratti, according to reports from Italy.

The Special One is expected to raid Stamford Bridge during the summer, with attackers Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard heavily rumoured to be on the verge of switching to San Siro.

But The Sun claims Mourinho has made Essien his top target and will match the ₤24 million he paid to the Ghanaian from Olympique Lyonnaise three years ago.

The 25-year-old is recognised among the best box-to-box players in the world, earning comparisons with Dutch great Edgar Davids for his mix of tenacity and technique.

Essien moving to Milan would set up a tantalising pairing with Argentine international Esteban Cambiasso in the centre of the Nerazzurri midfield, while raising question marks over the futures of Patrick Vieira and Olivier Dacourt.

But Chelsea will be keen to keep one of their most consistent performers, as they attempt to quell a possible mass exodus from west London, which has been on the cards since Mourinho’s departure in September.

The Portuguese was hugely popular with the players during his time at Stamford Bridge, the likes of Drogba and Lampard remaining loyal to the former Porto boss even after he parted ways with the club following a drawn-out dispute with owner Roman Abramovich.

Many have speculated that it is only of where the Chelsea stars follow Mourinho, not if, and the blue half of Milan seems certain to be the destination now following the sacking of Roberto Mancini.

I'd take Essien, especially since it appears Vieira got injured AGAIN! We need a more reliable midfield for next season as, Zanetti apart, thier physical condition has been nothing short of appauling.

Apparently, there is already a project about building our new stadium for 2012. According to 'Il Giornale', the project includes a 60-65 thousand seats, the usual restaurants, shops etc.. The total value of this stadium seems to be around 400M euros, 80% of which would come from banks & sponsors, which will have to be paid in full within 10 years. The name of the stadium will have a sponsor involved (guess who ), but will be dedicated to Angelo Moratti.
This is a step everyone in Italy should do. Many other clubs are even more advanced than we are at the moment, but in order to compete with the EPL teams, this investment is more than necessary. As long as the local counsil finally decides to approve the fuckin permits.

Nel futuro dell'Inter potrebbe esserci qualcosa di speciale e per una volta non si parla dell'allenatore. Sì perché il club di via Durini lavora ad un grande progetto. Costruire una squadrone imbattibile da affidare a Jose Mourinho è la sfida imminente, da giocare sul mercato. San Siro addio: Moratti ha in mente un nuovo stadio, da dedicare al padre Angelo e intitolare ad un grande sponsor, per ragioni evidentemente commerciali. L'anticipazione esclusiva riportata da Il Giornale potrebbe sorprendere fino alla commozione gli affezionati del Meazza, poco propensi ad abbandonare per sempre la Scala del calcio.

Ma prima di versare lacrime, si guardi al portafoglio. Il modello inglese è lì da vedere. I club di casa nostra strappano più soldi alle tv (almeno per ora, visto che con la vendita collettiva dei diritti a partire dal 2010 le cose cambieranno) rispetto alle potenze della Premiershit, ma sul fronte commerciale abbiamo molto da imparare.

Le parole magiche sono tre: stadio di proprietà. Un grande investimento, ma anche un grande affare (nella foto, il progetto del nuovo stadio del Liverfekkin'wankscum, curato dallo studio di architettura HKS). E Moratti, che mica per caso fa il petroliere, ha fiutato il business. Se la Fiera è andata a Rho, l'Inter potrebbe andare a Pero. La grande Milano dell'Expo si allarga all'hinterland, trasferendo in provincia anche il tempio del pallone.

Capienza da 60-65 mila posti, tanto per fare il pienone ogni volta. Sette-otto mila posti auto, tanto per far parcheggiare anche i pendolari il lunedì mattina, sfruttando le nuove fermate del metrò. Ristoranti a volontà, dal fast food alla nouvelle cousine, negozi uno dietro l'altro e niente pista di atletica, perché chi va allo stadio in fin dei conti la partita la vuol vedere. E ancora 120-150 sky-box, 800 box-loggia e tribune d'onore con servizi personalizzati.

Ecco in sostanza i dettagli del progetto, svelati da Il Giornale. Costo dell'operazione: 400 milioni, l'80% dei quali proveniente da banche e finanziamenti. Ammortamento in dieci anni, ricavi sostanziosi, tanto per non essere da meno a nessuno. Di speciale, l'Inter del futuro spera di avere l'attivo in bilancio.

Inter Close The Door On Eto'o And Drogba
Inter transfer consultant, Marco Branca, insists that Jose Mourinho will not be signing any strikers and thus he has closed the door on both Didier Drogba and Samuel Eto'o moving to San Siro.

Mourinho was unveiled to the press on Tuesday morning as he begins his new adventure with the Nerazzurri.

Reports in Italy claimed the former Porto coach would be getting rid of certain players to make room for some of his former Chelsea players to come in.

However, Branca admits that the Nerazzurri will not be buying a striker and so they have closed the door on Samuel Eto’o as well as Didier Drogba who have constantly been linked with a move to San Siro.
