Average Mourinho Hasn't Won Much - Savicevic

Former Milan star Dejan Savicevic has spoken on all things Serie A and he believes that Jose Mourinho hasn’t won much apart from the Champions League and he has described the former Chelsea man as average. He was also full of praise for Juventus as well as Milan hit-man Ronaldinho...

The former Rossonero won a number of major honours at San Siro including the 1994 Champions League, where he scored a memorable goal for his team against Barcelona in the final.

The president of the Montenegrin FA has given his take on the 2008/09 Serie A campaign and he had some tough words for Milan’s bitter city rivals Inter and their manager.

"Looking at Mourinho’s past, the only good thing he has won is the Champions League," Savicevic told La Gazzetta Dello Sport.

"Then the rest is just normal or average. He plays like Fabio Capello with plenty of emphasis at the back and then he always has a big hit-man up front who finds the net."

Savicevic then moved on from the Nerazzurri and he reveals his penchant for Juventus and the way the Bianconeri played against Fiorentina.

"Juve really scared me with the football they played against the Viola, they are a football machine," added the former playmaker.

"Mauro Camoranesi is world-class and then there is Pavel Nedved who never stops running. Juve are very dangerous this season."

Naturally, being a former Rossonero, the former Yugoslavia player finished off with some words on his old team, Milan. Savicevic believes Ronaldinho will get back to his best but he has his doubts on Andriy Shevchenko.

"I would have bought Ronaldinho. If he trains well he will be back to his best but I saw Sheva a little sad," added the former winger.

"The Ukrainian didn’t play well against Bologna and he looked really tense, as if his mind was elsewhere.

"Ancelotti? Pressure is normal for him. He knows he is in charge of a great team and he has to win the Scudetto like Mourinho and Claudio Ranieri."

Savicevic’s words regarding the ‘Special One’ are likely to provoke a reaction from the Inter coach as the war between Milan and Inter continues.

The former Red Star player scored 29 goals in 84 games for Milan, his best was the lob he hit against Andoni Zubizaretta in Athens.

Actually, he's not the first person, who has said that about Jose, and I suspect they may be right! I wonder how well Jose would cope with managing a team with stretched resources, like Messina for example. There are some, who say he would not cope as well as some that have actually had to.

Performance was improved 10 fold with the 4-4-2 formation. Only thing lacking was maybe the goal chances but it was utter domination even with 10 men on the pitch. I hope Mourinho can see that the 4-4-2 is our best suited formation. Balotelli and Ibra were off pace and Figo.. no comment. Everyone else did their job/were great. Q77 on debut; not bad at all. probably 7-7.5 and I was impressed that he actually tracked back to help defend. Probably fortunate on both goals but the victory was well deserved and we can only improve. Vieira M.O.M and was all class in the midfield.

One final point; I understand you cannot swing your arms out at players but this is a sport of men and Tedesco was simply the most spineless coward in the arena tonight. He gets a finger in the mouth and then cartwheels around like he's been shot. The only reason I wanted the win was to jam it up this piece of shit. Fuck him and fuck the rest of that play acting team. This is where football is let down; but these small clubs resorting to the cheapest tricks in order to get players sent off.

Anyway, I've just done a marathon of Liv - Man U, Arse - Blackburn, Chelsea - Man City and Inter - Catania and it's 7 am so I'm off to the sack.

'New Adriano' To Arrive At Inter
