Cari nemici e amici,
mentre sto scrivendo questo articolo (cono le due della notte fra martedì e mercoledì) nel sito dell’Inter, vanto e orgoglio della società nerazzurra non è apparsa la notizia dell’esonero di Mancini.
C’è un motivo per il quale i tanti esperti della comunicazione che ci sono all’Inter hanno deciso di ignorare quel che stampa, radio e tv hanno già anticipato verso le 17 di ieri martedì 27 maggio?
E’ vero che un presidente ha il diritto di mandar via un allenatore se non è soddisfatto del lavoro svolto e prenderne uno che reputa più bravo, ci mancherebbe altro…

E’ vero che la follia nerazzurra è capace di tutto, a cominciare da un direttore generale che un minuto dopo dice che la conferma dell’allenatore è certa all’80 per cento per finire a un dirigente che lunedì 26 maggio telefona a Mancini parlando di calcio mercato, di esterni da acquistare in una presa in giro senza precedenti, ma a tutto dovrebbe esserci un limite.
E’ vero che qualcuno, nel goffo tentativo di coprire la follia di Moratti che Moratti ha deciso di ricostruire l’Inter: a colpi di piccone, mette in giro la voce che l’esonero sia dovuto a un sondaggio fatto presso alcuni giocatori, con a capo Ibrahimovic che volevano la testa dell’allenatore.

E’ vero invece che prima della partita di Parma, quella decisiva, Mancini chiese a Ibra: “Zlatan, fammi mezzoraâ€

Calcio Debate: How Will Mancini Be Remembered?
Following Roberto Mancini’s sacking, Carlo Garganese asks how the tactician’s tenure at Inter should be remembered…

So a new era is on the horizon for Inter after Roberto Mancini was given his marching orders yesterday, in order to make way for Jose Mourinho.

Many outsiders will find it hard to understand how a coach can be sacked after winning three league championships in a row, especially at a team who had, until then, failed to lift the Scudetto for 17 years. The history books will suggest that Mancini is a legend, as even Helenio Herrera, the club’s most famous coach from the golden period of the 1960s, failed to win three titles on the bounce.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t take Einstein to realise that Mancini has received very little credit for these achievements. This may be a little harsh but there will always be those who remind him that the 2006 Scudetto was handed on a silver platter to Inter by the courts, and that the following year there was virtually no competition due to Calciopoli.

Critics will also point to President Massimo Moratti’s open cheque book, which allowed Mancini to virtually pick and choose which players he wanted to buy. Money doesn’t guarantee success, but it certainly helps a great deal, as proved in England by Chelsea. Nevertheless the 43-year-old probably deserves great credit in this area, as many of his acquisitions over the past four years have certainly been successes. In Italy you can never be sure whether it is the coach, the sporting director or the chairman making the signings, but most of those who have come in, such as Maxwell, Maicon, Ibrahimovic, and Luis Figo, have all excelled. You also only have to look at the hundreds of millions of pounds that were thrown down the drain in the pre-Mancini circus years to realise that he did well on the transfer front.

Let’s now talk tactics. The feeling among many people is that when Mancini came up against real competition, such as in the Champions League, he failed miserably. I completely agree with this viewpoint. His strategic decision-making in both legs of this year’s exit against Liverfekkin'wankscum was so poor it beggared belief, and although the referees were largely at fault, Mancini must take a great deal of the blame for the defeat. He was also culpable in the quarter final exit to Villarreal a couple of years ago, while he was uninspiring during the loss to Valencia in 2006/07. When it came to pitting his wits against the best tacticians, Mancini simply wasn’t up to the task. Mourinho certainly won’t fail in this regard.

Mancini’s man-management skills also led to falling-outs with half of his squad. Leggo today stated that his own players demanded that he be sacked, while Mancio himself seems to have supported these claims by admitting Moratti showed him the door because of unrest within the dressing room. Mancini’s tantrums with the press, with whom he often refused to talk to at various points during this campaign, have also not helped his case. His dramatic resignation u-turn after the Liverfekkin'wankscum game proves that he is a coach who can crack when under pressure.

All in all it is not really too much of a surprise to see Moratti sack Mancini. In Jose Mourinho they will have someone who has the ability to mould Inter into an invincible force both at home and in Europe.

My personal opinion is that Mancini’s success at Inter can be largely attributed to him just happening to be in the right place at the right time. The coach was probably going to be sacked at the end of 2005/06 following two Scudetto-less seasons, before the Calciopoli scandal then erupted, and he was given a second chance.

His accomplishments were certainly more down to circumstances than to him being a great coach, but having said this he will always go down in the record books as the Inter boss who won three Scudetti in a row, something that can never be taken away from him.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic benedice il cambio Mancini-Mourinho. L'attaccante svedese ha commentato: "Moratti è il capo e sa cosa fare, ha fatto bene. Mourinho è un grande allenatore. Io sto bene all'Inter e ora voglio vincere la Champions League".
Il presidente nerazzurro a Barcellona per Eto'o e Deco (50 + 15 milioni) offre in cambio Adriano.

Mancini vuole 20 milioni per rescindere il contratto. Il braccio di ferro tiene ancora Mourinho in Portogallo
Roberto Mancini continua ad essere l’allenatore dell’Inter. Il sito ufficiale nerazzurro, infatti, per ragioni che vengono definite «formali» non ha ancora annunciato l’esonero del tecnico che è riuscito a portare a casa il terzo scudetto consecutivo. Il tanto atteso comunicato non può uscire fin quando non si sapranno i termini del divorzio. Ma ciò che sembra ormai certo è che Mancini non intende percorrere la strada del divorzio consensuale, a meno che non gli venga corrisposta una cifra che non dovrebbe essere inferiore ai 20 milioni di euro.

L’Inter ha fiutato l’aria e ha già messo al lavoro il proprio ufficio legale. Se il braccio di ferro dovesse protrarsi per troppo tempo potrebbe scatenarsi una vera e propria battaglia fra avvocati perché il club nerazzurro ha in mano la registrazione della conferenza stampa fatta da Mancini dopo Inter-Liverpool ed è pronta a sostenere che quelle parole («Credo che questi saranno i miei ultimi due mesi e mezzo sulla panchina dell’Inter, l’ho appena detto alla squadra») hanno destabilizzato l’ambiente creando turbative nello spogliatoio. Alcuni giocatori interisti avrebbero già dato la disponibilità a testimoniare a favore della società. Non a caso ieri Crespo ha affermato: «Lo choc per l’eliminazione subita contro il Liverfekkin'wankscum in Champions League è all’origine dei problemi che successivamente abbiamo avuto in campionato. Abbiamo perso la nostra identità e nella parte finale abbiamo sofferto molto, anche per questo la festa per lo scudetto è stata così grande». Mancini, però, è sereno perché ha avuto rassicurazioni che nessun giudice potrebbe dar ragione all’Inter se davvero venisse sostenuta questa tesi. Lui, tra l’altro, non ha alcuna fretta di risolvere la questione visto che ha un contratto regolarmente depositato in Lega che gli garantisce di guadagnare sei milioni di euro all’anno fino al 2012. Il suo agente Giorgio De Giorgis ieri ai microfoni di Sky è stato molto severo: «Quando un presidente si affida prima a Mancini e poi a Mourinho sa quali sono i costi che portano».

Poi, ha negato che il suo assistito passi il tempo a chiamare Abramovich per proporsi sulla panchina del Chelsea: «Le autocandidature sono altri che le hanno sempre fatte, sia all’Inter che in tante altre società - ha detto De Giorgis -. Qui all’Inter lo sanno e non possono smentire nessuno. Tanti si sono candidati, anche ultimamente, per la panchina nerazzurra. Roberto invece non si è candidato con nessuno. Non ne abbiamo mai parlato, non conosciamo né Peter Kenyon, né Arnesen. Roberto conosce Abramovich perchè, a una partita, tre anni fa siamo stati cinque minuti con lui». De Giorgis, in serata, ha fatto visita al vicepresidente nerazzurro Rinaldo Ghelfi per parlare della questione, ma alla fine del colloquio non è stato raggiunto alcun accordo. Mentre Mourinho aspettava notizie di mercato da Moratti nella sua casa di Setubal, Mancini si allenava alla Pinetina. Il tecnico nerazzurro, infatti, ieri mattina si è presentato nel centro di allenamento per fare una corsetta con Lele Oriali e salutare tutto il personale di servizio. Ad un tifoso che gli chiedeva notizie sulla sua situazione ha detto: «La mia avventura è finita». Mourinho, intanto, dovrebbe arrivare in Italia nei prossimi giorni. Di sicuro non oltre martedì prossimo perché per il giorno successivo parteciperà a un’amichevole a Tokyo a scopo benefico.

Non essendoci nessun annuncio ufficiale sulla sua «assunzione» all’Inter non è dato sapere neanche quando verrà presentato. Mourinho preferirebbe Moratti definisse immediatamente la questione Mancini per non lavorare con l’ombra di un tecnico pronto a rientrare da un momento all’altro. Il patron, però, su questo punto non può accontentarlo. Lampard, Eto’o e Deco si possono comprare a prezzi scontati, Mancini no.
