Figo denies QPR talks

Inter Milan winger Luis Figo has quashed speculation he is negotiating a move to QPR.

The 35-year-old, who is under contract with the Serie A leaders until June, has been linked with a move to Loftus Road but has dismissed the reports.

The former Portugal captain said: “My future in England? At this time there are no negotiations with Queens Park Rangers despite what the newspapers say.

“Right now I’m at Inter and we will try to end the season in the best possible way. This is my only aim at this time.â€

Inter accused of tapping up Arsenal's Hleb

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is considering whether to report Inter Milan to Uefa for an alleged approach for midfielder Alexander Hleb. Hleb is thought to have left Arsenal's hotel room the evening before their Champions League last 16 second leg tie against AC Milan a fortnight ago to meet with representatives from the Italian side's rivals to discuss a potential move in the summer.

It is claimed the Belarus international left the Melia Felix Hotel with the agent Claudio Vigorelli, who is an associate of international agent Vincenzo Morabito, a director of the leading English agency First Artist. Wenger has since been made aware of the meeting and is deciding whether to report the Italian giants for tapping up the 26-year-old who is under contract at the Emirates until 2010.

Inter have long been admirers of the former Stuttgart midfielder and, while Morabito has admitted that Hleb did share a taxi with Vigorelli, he has refuted claims that the player held talks regarding a move to the San Siro.

"It's true that Hleb saw Vigorelli and they went out from the Melia Felix but it's not true that they went to talk to Inter Milan," said Morabito. "They went for an ice-cream. We are sorry that Mr Wenger took it badly and complained because we have a good relationship with him."

Even if talks were innocent, Wenger is unlikely to be pleased by Hleb's decision to meet with one of the club's major power-brokers on the eve of Arsenal's huge match against Inter's rivals. Hleb, however, went on to turn in a star performance in Arsenal's 2-0 win at the San Siro which set-up a last eight meeting with Liverfekkin'wankscum.

It is not the first time Hleb has been caught in a tapping-up row having held a secret meeting with Hamburg director Michael Schroeder at a London restaurant in Feb 2006. Wenger dismissed the rumours and said that Hleb and Schroeder had met through Hleb's younger brother, Vyacheslav, who used to play for the German side.

A sensational report in a British newspaper has claimed that Arsenal's Alexander Hleb went to meet Inter officials while in Milan on Champions League duty

The incident is said to have occurred before Arsenal took on AC Milan at San Siro in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 clash.

The Mirror allege that the Belarus international left Arsenal's Milan hotel the night before the game to hold secret talks with officials from Inter, who have reportedly made Hleb their top transfer target.

Taxi To Where?

The former VfB Stuttgart midfielder was spotted climbing into a taxi with agent Claudio Vigorelli, a close friend of Vicenzeo Morabito - the super agent who brokers many of Inter's transfer deals, including that of Patrick Vieira from Juventus. The incident is supposed to have happened after the Arsenal team had finished dinner, with the taxi heading to Inter's HQ at Via Durini.

The Mirror say that Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is aware of the allegations and is prepared to file a complaint if it can be proved that Inter made an illegal approach for his player. Morabito admitted that Hleb did leave the hotel, but while he denied it was to meet Nerazzurri officials he did acknowledge that Wenger was far from happy.

Hamburg Meeting

If the allegations are true it would not be the first time that the Belarus star has been involved in a 'tapping up' row. Just seven months after joining Arsenal for €15m the player held a secret meeting with Hamburg director Michael Schroeder at a London restaurant, thought to be with a view to returning to the Bundesliga having made a slow start to his career in England. But Uli Ferber, Hleb's agent, says his client has a contract at the Emirates until 2010 and is more than willing to stay on at the club.

Arsenal famously made a complaint to the Premiershit two years ago when Chelsea were caught making an illegal approach for Ashley Cole in a London hotel.

Sorry, Cajun - hadn't meant to be keeping quiet about that offside goal. Was it offside? I haven't seen the replays and couldn't bring myself to watch a game in which I'd have to be supporting Rubentus. So, the first goal was offside? Fekking sweet. Perhaps the refs are just trying to cover up for their earlier 'mistakes' but they'll come through for you in the clutch, no doubt.
