As you said and as I said too, this is not an Inter's trial but the Moggi one, hence these conversations currently will only be used in Moggi's defence. But it is not certain what will happen when all the conversations will be put infront of the court. An important thing to say here is that in Italy there are 2 types of courts. The sporting court (which relegated Juve to Serie B etc) and the civil court (for criminal offences, where Moggi is currently undergoing his hearing.) So as you said, if a case is opened against us it will presumably take time and I too believe that if there are any consequences, it will only be against the 2006 Scudetto and the year after an eventual verdict. I agree wholeheartedly with you that that famous 2006 Scudetto was unwanted by me too. It sould be deleted from history like the 2005 one.

Briz, I'm not saying we have cheated or anything. In fact that conversation took place before a game we probably all remember for being 0-2 down in the last 5 mins, only to turn it into a 3-2 win in the last 5 mins. People might look at this oddly, but I clearly remember the ref. not awarding us a crystal clear penalty for a handball when we were still 2-2. So if people said we had the ref. in our pockets, he SHOULD have given us that penalty. Also I would add that if we were cheating, then God hang our board of directors now for cheating and not winning shit.
What I'm 'afraid' of is not really this conversation, but the fact that Moggi's lawyer is saying that he's leaving the best for the day of the court hearing (13th april). Till now there is nothing serious, but I just hope it keeps that way.
The best scenario in here is to have Moggi get out free with the excuse of 'everbody was doing it, so why cant we?'. If Moggi is again found guilty, then I'd fear the worst.

Sembra che qualcuno abbia improvvisamente scoperchiato il vaso di Pandora e selezionato tutto ciò che potesse marchiare negativamente l’Inter in merito allo scandalo Calciopoli. Come se non bastassero gli anni di disagio psicologico trascorsi dai tifosi, frustrati nel veder la loro squadra fallire continuamente gli obiettivi prefissati, e la desolazione nello spirito di chi, Moratti in testa, ha investito ogni tipo di risorse per rendere vincente la squadra, oggi c’è chi sta cercando di mutare le vittime in carnefici, accomunandole a coloro i quali hanno creato i presupposti perché il calcio italiano patisse uno degli scandali più atroci di sempre. È normale che un avvocato faccia il possibile per riscattare il proprio assistito una volta che la giustizia lo ha inchiodato alle proprie responsabilità. Questo è l’intento di Maurilio Prioreschi, che per aiutare Luciano Moggi e stabilirne l’innocenza, in quanto il suo comportamento era uguale a quello di altri dirigenti (tutti innocenti, dunque), sta cercando di screditare l’Inter e i suoi rappresentanti, riesumando intercettazioni telefoniche relative al 2005, che in realtà nulla dicono fuorché che il club nerazzurro era in contatto telefonico con il designatore arbitrale di allora, Paolo Bergamo. Situazione mai negata dai protagonisti della vicenda, Bergamo in primis.

Ma la Procura di Napoli è stata chiara in tal senso: avere conversazioni telefoniche non implica un comportamento illegale, quindi il club di Corso Vittorio Emanuele non può essere indagato. Inoltre, se dopo Calciopoli è legge il divieto di contattare i vertici arbitrali da parte delle società, prima non lo era, anzi, si trattava di una prassi consolidata. Nulla di nuovo sotto il sole. Eppure anche ieri la difesa di Moggi ha continuato a puntare il dito contro l’Inter, facendo in modo che venisse resa pubblica un’altra telefonata, stavolta tra Bergamo e Facchetti, da cui però non emerge alcun accordo sotto banco, quindi alcun dolo. L’argomento è l’arbitro Bertini, ma da parte nerazzurra non c’è alcuna richiesta di favori, o della selezione di un fischietto connivente, quanto la volontà di tutelarsi di fronte a svariati e inspiegabili errori arbitrali precedenti. La partita in questione, datata gennaio 2005, non offre alcuno spunto che possa alimentare dubbi: Bertini fischia regolarmente, e solo un colpo di coda clamoroso nel finale consente all’Inter di battere 3-2 la Sampdoria, in vantaggio per 2-0 fino a pochi minuti dalla fine. Risultato sorprendente ma limpido, con l’arbitro toscano (più di una volta, in carriera, protagonista negativo ai danni dei nerazzurri) bravissimo solo a fare il proprio dovere, come chiesto da Facchetti e assicurato da Bergamo, che però telefonicamente pretendeva serenità intorno al direttore di gara.

Cosa c’è di irregolare in questa conversazione? Oggi lo sarebbe, nel 2005 non lo era. Idem per le intercettazioni delle chiacchierate tra Moratti e Bergamo (come l'ex presidente del Bologna, Gazzoni Frascara, ha confermato). Fuori luogo e inaccettabile, dunque, la manovra dei legali di Luciano Moggi, che vogliono porre sulla graticola anche la società nerazzurra, per provare ad ammorbidire la posizione del loro assistito. Ignorando, così, che la dirigenza dell’Inter telefonava a Bergamo per difendersi dal sistema che lo stesso Moggi aveva contribuito a erigere, un sistema volto a danneggiare determinate società (Inter compresa) e a favorire sul campo e fuori la Juventus e i club a essa amici. Un sistema fatto di schede telefoniche ad hoc, di minacce, di orientamento delle designazioni arbitrali e di alterazione dei risultati. Ingredienti di una macchia macroscopica, che ha provocato lo scandalo di Calciopoli e che è stata, in parte, ripulita, anche se tutt’oggi c’è chi insiste nello screditare le vittime di questa bruttissima pagina di calcio.

Per chi avesse ancora dubbi sulla legalità del comportamento nerazzurro, torni a dare un’occhiata ai risultati della squadra prima del 2006, anno in cui l’Inter ha iniziato finalmente a vincere e a raccogliere i frutti del lavoro sul campo e fuori: prima di allora solo tante, cocenti, delusioni, a fronte di importanti investimenti (da parte di Moratti) che rendevano inspiegabile l’andamento sul rettangolo di gioco. È stata davvero solo colpa degli errori gestionali e di mercato della dirigenza? La verità emersa nel 2006 sostiene tutt'altro. The Waterboy dice che rivuole gli scudetti sottratti alla Juve, ma chi restituirà quelli che Moggi ha sottratto, con il suo lavoro oscuro, a chi poteva competere con i bianconeri già prima dello scandalo di Calciopoli?

This is apparently one of the phone conversations Moggi's defending himself against. I GT'd it but it doesn't really give a clear context on what's happening besides the obvious. Any of you care to take a stab at it and clear it up for me?

This is a strange part TBH and I would need someone with a good memory to help. More or less, It's Moggi talking to Pairetto & they are discussing who should ref which match. It is practically as if Pairetto, instead of discussing the issue with the other head of refs (right now I'm forgetting the name), is discussing it with Moggi. That is of course against the law.
However, and here is the part where I would need someone with a good memory, back then the refs weren't hand chosen if I remember correctly, but chosen by lottery. So for me its confusing, but I would assume that somehow, the lottery was faked. having said that, if I'm not mistaken, the possibility that the lottery was faked had been dropped by the court back in 2007, therefore this would have little relevance now.
Also, one must remember that tel. conversations with head officials were allowed back then and also that tel. conversations cannot have any say in court. I would presume that nothing will happen in our case unless something new comes out. It's currently very difficult to be concrete right now and we'll have to wait at least till April 13th before knowing what there is against us.
As strange as it might seem, it would be better for us to have Moggi released from his accusations...Funny but true.

I remember one of the people involved in the case saying they fixed the lottery by having those discoloured balls in the draw which were hard to see if you weren't standing right up close to them. Not sure if that relates to this part of the trial though.

Non c'è pace per la caviglia di Wesley Sneijder: questa volta, a colpire duro il giocatore olandese è stato un compagno di squadra, ovvero Sulley Muntari, che nel corso dell'ultimo allenamento ha procurato al numero 10 nerazzurro una nuova distorsione alla caviglia. Già una settimana fa Sneijder accusò problemi allo stesso arto alla fine del match d'andata con i russi costringendo l'ex Real Madrid a giocare gli ultimi venti minuti della sfida col Bologna.

People say he wasnt interested anymore in sports so whether they banished him from Serie A or not was irrelevant to him, hence his decision.
