i actually have a small hope for beckham. i still remember how he led real to the liga title even after capello froze him out of the squad. we need a leader on the pitch, and if it can be beckham, i hope its a positive effect.

but that is the optimist in me...

that's exactly what i meant. we sign a player - on loan - and he misses the entire first half of the season. how is that not a terrible transfer?

i suppose but his injury aside isnt that down to Anclotti who has just ignored him, if i was the manager he would be on the bench or team sheet every week, how can Kala drop so many bollocks and not get dropped, but Senderos cant get a look in the first team!
