interesting names have been linked with us this season.

poli and honda are apparently done deals, add to that saponara who we signed earlier and we have 3 technically gifted midfielders. very un-allegri type players.

honda might be a stop-gap until saponara gets time to find his feet in serie A.

i like the direction in which the team is headed, but i doubt we can be considered scudetto challengers. i just hope that we can stay in the top 3 and try to make it to the quarter-finals of the CL while trying to play some entertaining football.

Milan reject Madrid's Balotelli bid

After reports suggest Milan turned down a Real Madrid offer for Mario Balotelli, his agent warns “sooner or later everyone is on the market.”

The striker only made the move to San Siro from Manchester City in January for €20m (£17.6m).

According to the Corriere dello Sport, new Real Madrid Coach Carlo Ancelotti ordered his club to make a huge offer in order to tempt SuperMario to La Liga.

However, the Rossoneri assured he is absolutely not for sale, nor is there any buy-out clause in his contract.

“Will Balotelli be sold? No, for the moment he won’t go, but in football those who are not for sale sooner or later go on the market,” agent Mino Raiola told the Corriere dello Sport.

“Milan have an important project in place with Mario and he is very happy here. You can be sure he won’t move for now, but tomorrow... I don’t know.

“It is very tough for Serie A to hold on to top players right now, as their revenue is only a third of what English or Spanish clubs make.”

5-0 after 35 mins against city is embarrassing. there were plenty of explanations and reasons for the scoreline, but the humiliation is much greater than the excuses. at least we got 3 goals back, but only after city switched off.

the biggest problem with el sharaawy is that he will become our highest paid player in 2-3 seasons. i don't think he deserves/deserved such a bumper contract.

niang is also a big problem, he doesn't seem to show any interest in the game. but we'll have to see how he develops.

salvaged some pride against sao paolo.

i really like this kingsley boateng kid. i saw him for the first time either last summer or the one before, he had a wicked left footed half volley shot from 25 yards out that rocked buffon's crossbar. it was brilliant on every level.

and today, he showed good movement to expose the open spaces and put in some great dribbles to put sao paolo in trouble. i wouldn't mind seeing him given a greater run in the first team, but i'm sure he'll get more chances if he deserves it.

the rumors are that we might make a splash signing if we qualify for the CL, i really hope it's astori. even though we're well covered in the CB area (when nobody is injured), astori will give us some good stability for the next 5 seasons.

looks like we've made an 8m offer for ljajic of fiorentina. i haven't seen much of him, but he's a good mover and passer from the reports. if we get him, niang will most certainly be sent out on loan.

if we can add honda and ljajic this summer, i would consider it a great transfer market.

we'll still have an overload of players that we have to get rid of; prince boateng and traore, maybe even nocerino.

If you don't beat PSV, then you don't deserve to be in the competition proper. Which means you won't be in the competition.

At least Roma made it easier for you by buying Strootman.

it's the small things, their season started a week ago. the psv game will be our first competitive game of the season, and who knows if we'll be 'match-fit' by the time the game rolls around.

but you're right, if we don't beat psv, we don't deserve to be in the CL. i think we'll see them off though.
