The home performance against Tottenham, particularly the first half, was pretty embarassing for us fans of Italian football in general, never mind Milan.

The second leg performance was good overall, but Tottenham rarely lose at home so it was always going to be tough...

You should do better this year, hopefully. Apart from Barcelona there's no real top class teams to be afraid of so you should be aiming semi-finals or something, I'd say.

I sure hope, if we sign him, that he won't be only the buy, but adding him would definitely strengthen us and is a step forward. A combo like Montolivo and Ganso, for example, would be a big jump in quality for our midfield with the CL goal in mind.

I know you like Pirlo too much but, as far as I'm concerned, he's dead to me. When he's on song he can still do good things but, more often than not recently, he hasn't, and when he isn't, he's a liability. Overall, I definitely don't feel pessimistic about our chances when we play against a Pirlo-led Juve midfield next season

we did suck last year, but we really should have gone through tottenham. we didn't have our attack figured out at that point yet as allegri still hadn't forged his favorite formation. we need to get ibra out of automatic starterdom as he's just not as good as everyone thinks.

Lomba called it, it seems. I still don't buy the fact that Monte would be the Mr. X, Galliani said Mr. X will come at the end of august like Robinho and Ibra did, Schweinsteigers name has gone back into the mix it seems also.

Like I said before, if Galliani says Montolivo is your 'Mr X' then its just because he's the cheap option.

It wouldn't surprise me one bit if we get him now, classic Galliani : making the most out somebody else's mess for a cut-price deal, he's the king of that. I would hope that, should we get him, however, he's followed by another quality buy in midfield as well.

Is it not becoming clear, though, given Berlusconi's much highlighted financial difficulties, that Milan won't be spending much in the mercato and instead will be looking for cheap/free/loan type deals?
