The anti-Ronaldinho comments keep coming now don't they...Seedorf added a nice little touch there commenting on the "understanding" between him and Kaka...No denying that mind; Seedorf has been instrumental in making Kaka the player he is today and when on song they are absolutely the best thing to watch in football...But they overlook our dismal performances over the course of the season...Ronaldinho may not be the answer but if we get him at a cut price we'd be stupid to let him go...

Just got hold of Kasey Keller's piece on Kaka in the Time 100 list; while I don't think he is the most influential footballer by a long shot, he is probably the best one to emulate.

The first time I played soccer against him, it was obvious KakÃƒÂ¡ was something special. Late in a semi-final game during the 2003 CONCACAF Gold Cup, our U.S. team was up 1-0 against Brazil. But the world champions came back, and KakÃƒÂ¡ proved decisive. The Brazilian scored first, and his team went on to win in overtime. It was clear that he had the tools to become one of the world's top players.

He has not disappointed. Named both FIFA World Player of the Year and European footballer of the year in 2007, KakÃƒÂ¡, 26, helped his club, Italy's AC Milan, to European and world titles last year. He's an attacking midfielder with tremendous technical ability and great size, and is good in the air. He is the total footballer.

There is, however, more to him than sport. In 2004, KakÃƒÂ¡ became the U.N. World Food Program's youngest ambassador. And he is devoted to his faith. An evangelical Christian, KakÃƒÂ¡ has talked publicly about becoming a minister when he retires from the game. After winning the European Champions League final last year, he took off his jersey to reveal a T shirt that read, "I Belong to Jesus".

I might question whether soccer stadiums are the right venue for promoting religion, but in an age in which many professional athletes care more about cars, women and controversy, it's refreshing to see one who is committed to having a positive impact on the world around him.

well, if its a wage war I'm pretty sure you guys are going to win. We (secco) won't go as high as some of the reports I've been hearing milan are willing to go. I don't think he prefers a club between juve and milan. I think its just about the money.

I do know that it isn't possible for you guys to get flamini, ronnie, and toni. With the wages you're currently paying it would be way to much money, especially if you're already in financial trouble. So signing flamini at that price might be a mistake if you're trying to get other players. If flamini is making that much how much are you going to pay toni and ronnie? I think a lot of you are expected a huge transfer window, but this isn't fifa 08. I think you'll make a splash just not as big as some might think.
