about taiwo, from what i've heard he's black. so that automatically makes him a marauding fullback. i heard he gets up the flank well, he's pretty damn fast and he's got a lethal left footer. he's suspect when it comes to tactics.

these days, when it comes to fullbacks, speed is probably the most important thing. give them decent enough cover, and you can make a player like abate into a recognized international.

so far, i think we can 80% confirm ganso, mexes and taiwo. if we can just sign 1 or 2 axillary midfielders, like constant or lazzari, we would be set. and a new goalkeeper, word on the playground is we have an option on marchetti. and it's pretty obvious that amelia is not good enough, the space he left at the near post for pastore's goal was pretty stupid.

some reports also said that we've signed pazienza from napoli as well. i think his contract was finishing, i'm not sure though.

SO it sounds like Taiwo is similar to Cissokho no? If so, that's exactly what we need. I definitely value explosiveness alot for fullbacks, the coaches (specially Tassotti) have shown over the years they can work and improve the defensive and tactical aspect for full backs (Cafu, Serginho and Abate to name a few)

Santos' Ganso: My future is in Italy

The highly-sought after playmaker has revealed that he favours a summer move to Serie A with several Italian clubs thought to be monitoring him

Santos playmaker Ganso has reaffirmed his desire to leave the Brazilian giants, stating that his preferred move would be to an Italian club. The Brazil international is one of the most in-demand young players in world football and has made it clear that he sees himself playing in Serie A in the near future.

"My future is in Italy. Milan or Inter? I do not know yet,” the 21-year-old told Sky. “I feel I could be an useful asset for either side but all I can say right now is that my future is in Italy.”

Ganso also confirmed that he has spoken to friends from both the Milan clubs with a move to the Italian city looking likely.

"I have many friends in Italy,” he enthused. “I often speak with Robinho and Thiago Silva who would like to see me at AC Milan.

"I have also spoken to [Inter coach] Leonardo. He praises me and likes the way I play but I do not know where I will be playing next season."

The attacker's comments seem to quash rumours of a potential switch to Brazilian outfit Corinthians, who have publicly declared an interest in the player.

However, Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has moved to deny that the club have made a bid for Ganso.

"AC Milan have not made an offer yet,” Galliani told reporters in Italy. “I do not think it is right to talk about a player who belongs to Santos. If we make an offer, then we will talk about it.”

apparently taiwo has picked up his french passport, paving the way for a transfer to milan. we keep getting linked with bale as well, but i don't think that will happen.

So with today's results, my math tells me we need 7 points to clinch....so a draw today wouldn't be too bad, we'd actually maintain the same distance but with 1 game less to go so I wouldn't be disappointed if we don't win

with 5 games left, including udinese and roma, i'd rather we beat brescia today. things are looking good.

this team has proved 2 main things over the course of the season, we can function without pirlo and we can play without ibra. now i really doubt that pirlo will resign.

Cant complain about the effort and heart of this team, invaluable 3 points and thank god we finally put away a chance as Robinho and Cassano were putting on a show for missed chances prior to that

Now we need 4 more to go and it's looking more and more like a formality..,.if Inter fail to win on Saturday evening and we win Sunday, we'd win it...I really want it next weekend so the party is at San Siro, however, realistically we might have to wait till the Roma game, I don't see us not clinching after that point of time for sure

The assist by Seedorf was superb, which brings me to the point raised by shinpin regarding Pirlo...we've maybe lacked his creativity in a couple of games here and there (Tottenham comes to mind for example) but generally not mightily struggled to replace that, he's no longer indispensable to the team like he used to and credit must go to Allegri for that...if you look at it from a financial point of view, and this shit takes extra importance with the new rules in play next year, Seedorf give us more bang for the buck than Pirlo does IMO, so it would make more financial sense for the club to keep Seedorf while letting go of Pirlo and his overpaid deal..... with so many expensive deals expiring this summer, we really have a golden chance to have a great mercato simply by spending the money we save on these deals on younger, more productive names...we really cannot afford to blow this chance, this to me is more important than the scudetto this year or next year...this will determine whether we're serious about starting a new cycle and challenging for CL or whether we still want to be stuck in the past with some has beens
