we have no backup for pirlo and seedorf, so they are musts, imo. especially since seedorf is willing to play from the bench (but why would he go to brazil?). he will be a very crucial sub imo. pirlo is expensive, but he would probably take a pay cut as i don't think there's any team that would be willing to pay him more than 4 million net.

i read some articles saying cassano will be used a paperweight in the deal for boateng. cassano is never going to be a full time starter for us, and he's not the kind of player we need. based on all that, i dont expect him to stay with us for too long, especially if he doesn't perform miracles.

we need an entire new midfield, but out of our legendary 3 (pirlo, seedorf and gattuso), i think keeping pirlo will be a must. some of our best games this season (we had two 3-0 results in a row, i forget against who) were a result of pirlo dictating the midfield from the left central midfielder position. he still has it.

i also think we should keep van bommel. he's had one or two brainfarts, but it's coming down to a head on battle between van bommel and ambrosini; i would take van bommel any day of the week.

That doesn't make sense about Cassano. I doubt you signed him just for half a season to use him as a paperweight in an exchange deal. And I seriously doubt he'd go to Genoa. I think he is doing quite well for yis and if he's not causing any problems at not being a starter every week I don't see any reason why you'd get rid of him.

Is Pirlo's contract really up in the summer? Keeping him or not is a no brainer for me, he is type of player who could play on for a good few more years at the highest level and the footballing world is not exactly overflowing with top-quality registas. Look at Scholes at Man Utd, he is still going strong.

But Milan do need to get rid of some deadwood like Gattuso and maybe even Ambrosini. Freshen things up a little.

i'm not saying we signed him to use as a paperweight, he just hasn't had the effect we wanted.

now i just read on milannews that seedorf and pirlo will be let go, while van bommel ambro and gattuso will stay. i don't understand why ambrosini is staying. this is absolute bullshit, he is the worst midfielder we have.

and we'd replace seedorf and pirlo with ganso and lazzarri.

but why ambrosini?

It looks we'll be without Nesta in Firenze tomorrow...I hope Yepes does his job tomorrow, this is a critical game for us and any slip-up might put Inter back in the race besides Napoli


How is Taye Taiwo ? I've been hearing good things about him with lots of teams chasing him but its reported he's Milan-bound.
